House Rule: Perform as a Knowledge check

If you have at least half a rank in a Peform skill, you can use it like a Knowledge skill to see what you remember about peformances or particularly famous performers of that type, or things related to the types of items used in such performances: materials and quality, hardness and hit points, energy vulnerabilities, environmental vulnerabilities, makers’ marks, methods for crafting, methods of use, wear and tear, and specific qualities relevant to them.

House Rule: Class level checks as a Knowledge check

If you have at least one level in a particular class, you can roll a class level check (d20+ your level in that class) like a Knowledge skill to see what you remember about anything that class focuses on, that class’s features and bonus feats, and any weapons or armor that class is proficient with.

On this blog, posts with such level checks are tagged “druid level check”, “monk level check”, etc.

Knowledge (psionics)

This skill can be used to see what you remember about psipowers, psionic crystals and creatures, psionic items, astral constructs, meditation and focus, mind over body, and mental abilities.

If you have at least half a rank in a Craft skill, you can use it like a Knowledge skill to see what you remember about things related to that type of item: materials and quality, hardness and hit points, energy vulnerabilities, environmental vulnerabilities, makers’ marks, methods for crafting, methods of use, wear and tear, and specific qualities relevant to it.

Bardic Knowledge

This skill can be used to see what you remember about notable people, legendary items, noteworthy places, trivia, rumors, and news.

House Rule: Profession as a Knowledge Check

If you have at least half a rank in Profession, you can use it like a Knowledge skill to see what you remember about management, suppliers, ledgers, customer service, pricing, sales, advertising, marketing, supply & demand, quality control, and subjects related to the field of your expertise.

House Rule: Ride as a Knowledge Check

If you have at least half a rank in Ride, you can use it like a Knowledge skill to see what you remember about mounts, mounted combat, tack and saddle, stirrups, barding, stabling, care and feeding of mounts, mount tricks, and knighthood.
