Introducing Rayne Amalia Accardi
( ꨄ︎ ) Born in Kyoto, Japan to Rozanne and Julian Accardi, Rayne was considered a miracle. The first born had brought back a family tradition that the Accardi’s had started to consider a family myth.
Long ago, before demons ruled the world, the Accardi family moved to Japan. The family was an odd bunch, full of wild-looking, animalistic people.
This was due to their unique tradition.
When a baby was born, they were assigned an animal. An offering would be made in honor of the animal. When the baby got older, they would begin to develop traits that were similar to that animal. This was considered a blessing in the family.
However, when demons began to roam; the blessings slowly stopped.
In 1895, that all changed.
✦ Wild shocking green eyes with a flowery detail in the center, lined with orange.
✦ Unruly orange hair with white tips that spikes out and puffs up at the slightest change in weather.
✦ Courageous and bold, almost to a fault. Yet able to sneak up on most people without being noticed.
These traits developed as the girl grew older.
The most telling trust of all?
Marechi blood.
Demons came from the shadows to seek her out. Showing her early on that the myths the elders around spoke of, were true. The demon slayers that came never explained much until the girl was 15 years old.
After that, she was determined to become a slayer to defend herself and those around her.
By 17, she had become the Tiger Hashira.
