Grojband AU old west, at the saloon

This is a short Drabble, an exchange between Kon and Laney after Corey has been sherif for a while. Platonic Konney And hinted Corney (And action) Kon was wiping the counters with a clean wet rag. The only person other than him at the counter was Laney, the town's red headed deputy. He casually cleaned as she drank her second beer. "So how are things with Sheriff Corey?" The hefty bartender asked casually. The girl shrugged. "Alright I suppose. He is still a city boy, but at least he has heart. He is making the best of this." Laney said as she took a sip. "Seems you to have been getting... Mighty close." Kon mentions subtly, causing the red head to spit out her drink. "What are you imposing?!" She asked clearly irratated, her cheeks as red as her hair. Kon smiled smugly. "I may not be smart, but I am not blind. I can see you have a soft spot for the blue haired boy." If it was anyone else that said this to her, she would have cracked their skull like an egg. But it was kon who said it, so she just banged the table. "I don't have a soft spot!" She said trying to convince herself more than the black hair bartender. Kon laughed lightly. "Don't I know it!" Laney calmed down a bit. She placed her bottle on the bar and sighed. She did like the city boy. He had grown on the no nonsense sheriff over the past month. He wasn't a rootin rootin cowboy, but he had his charm. Kon had been talking to both these two. He could tell there was something in the works, all it needed was a bit if a push. "You know, Corey talks about you." Kon said as he finished cleaning the counter. He than started to clean some of the mugs near by. Laney stopped looking down and looked dead at the bartender. "What did he say about me?" Laney said with her attention completely on Kon. Kon laughed lightly. "I can't tell you what he said. But I will say that, he is always saying great things about you." Laney seemed surprised. "Really?" "Really." Kon assured the girl. Laney than did something that Kon had never seen Laney do in the 2 years he has known her. Laney genuinely smiled.

I could see Kon and Laney shopping for stuff to impress the Riffins and Kon'll freak out because Trina has a very specific taste (pink, expensive and impressive) whereas Laney is looking for something that'll mean something beyond just a gift and it ultimately ends with the two of them just eating ice cream.
