Hey! So I'm thinking about getting a leopard geko as a pet, but my parents are divorced so I have to switch houses every Friday. Is it stressful for a geko if its being moved to one of two tanks every week? I'd assume the car ride to the house wouldn't be a problem because of how some gekos are shipped to different locations in the world without many problems, but is switching enclosures so often goof for them? Thank you so much for your time :~)

Would it be possible for one of your parents to take care of the gecko while you’re gone? I wouldn’t recommend a leopard gecko in this situation because they do become stressed when changing enclosures and traveling and could develop issues with feeding if the change in location was constant. It can take a new gecko weeks to settle in to a new enclosure, so it wouldn’t be great for them to be moved around so much. I think it would be a lot more fair to the gecko if you kept it at one house and had a parent take care of it while you’re away if that’s a possibility!
