Fly Superboard 1991 Korean Anime Classic Design

Eye on the Moon: This is perhaps the most personal entry for my Korean Project, that was created exclusively for my retrospective at the @hobanartrium in South Korea. It’s an ode to my father who was a photo-instrumentation engineer for @nasa He worked on the Mercury through Apollo missions and not only taught me photography, but introduced me to problem solving- think of an idea and find a way to realize it into existence. In other words, think outside the box. In most cases when I found my own solution to a problem, the lesson it revealed was well earned and received. There were moments, however, when I’d get stuck on a problem and turn to my dad for help. He would remind me that getting a man to the moon was once only an idea. And, against all odds, they found a way. It was his way of telling me not to give up and that a solution will eventually reveal itself. It wasn’t long before I realized he was right- I always found my way around a problem if I just stuck with it. Or, maybe my dad just didn’t know the answer and used that illustration to squirm his way out of helping me.
