Hung with him when he came by to speak at TEDxKL last year. SICK SICK poet/writer.
One thing that stands out is how he jumps from one rhyme to another. The rhythm & cadence is so well punctuated you'd be forgiven thinking he's got rhyme schemes & the whole 16bars thing going on.
But you see that's his beauty - his rhymes are so syncopated that it's almost jazz. And you don't hear his lines meandering away to some indulgent faraway place. He always rounds it up, brings it home. Never loses focus.
This isn't even his best piece. Heard him recite to himself as I drove him from LCCT to Mid Valley. I was blessed that night.
