what's the story behind your latest oc art? 🩷🩷✨️
AH I'm so glad you asked! I love Bebi and Isamu...and Kottl too :3c
Bebi and Isamu were born as twins to Kottl, an ancient eldritch being, and a human, his worshipper. Kottl and the human were deeply in love, but the human grew very ill from being in Kottl's presence; a human mind isn't built to comprehend him. Furthermore, Bebi was born very weak and sickly because of their vast difference in genetics.
When Bebi and Isamu were still very young, the Pantheon of their world clashed with Kottl, but the Pantheon knew they couldn't win against him without underhanded means. They demanded that Kottl sacrifice himself for the safety of his family. Kottl agreed and became sealed away by the Pantheon.
Bebi and Isamu grew up in poor conditions, despite their human father's best efforts; he was mentally broken and often sick, rambling on about how Kottl would return to fix everything. The twins looked visibly inhuman and were shunned by everyone but each other. Slowly, they grew up to be resentful of Kottl; if their father insisted he was coming back, where was he? The tomes he left behind appeared to be useless.
Finally, frustrated at his inability to care for his father and Bebi, Isamu leaves to fight the Pantheon himself. Bebi follows, not knowing where their twin has gone but determined to find him.
All the while Kottl is trapped, unable to do anything but watch as his children grow more and more hateful toward his absence.
