“I got to know a really amazing person when we were about 5 years old or so back in the late 80's and had been best of friends since. King's Quest 5 started our love of adventure games. We played it together, mapping out the world on a graphing paper, and making notes on everything. It took us so long to beat it as kids, but we were hooked. We circled back and played all the King's Quests together - me typing / clicking usually and him with his notepad and graphpad detailing out each thing we noticed each scene and building a map.
“We went on to play through all the Quest for Glories, Space Quests, Police Quest 1-3 (we never did beat 4) and various other Sierra games together. [...]
“Back in December last year we lost him very unexpectedly. It’s been devastating and has taken the people in his life time to figure things out again. A few weeks ago a group of his close friends decided to get tribute tattoos, mine on my wrist to remind me of my friend, and through it take him on little adventures with me.
