“My, what big muscles you have!” Lulu (Louise Brooks) gets introduced to Rodrigo, the Acrobat (Kraft-Raschig) by her old pal Schigoltz (Carl Goetz). “Pandora’s Box”, 1929.

Act Six is another complex overlapping-plotline jumble of scenes that Pabst is barely able to keep organized. On the run, Lulu (in disguise, a different hairdo), Alwa, Rodrigo, Schigoltz and their blackmailing friend are hiding out on a gambling boat in France. Alwa is trying to raise money at the baccarat table, but losing miserably. The blackmailer, now that he has squeezed almost all the profits out of Lulu and Alwa, has now decided to cut his losses and sell her to a creepy arab for his harem. Lulu is desperate and cries out her frustrations to Schigoltz, who offers scant help, in the way of a deck of cards that can be used to cheat at the gambling table. Meanwhile Countess Geschwitz shows up just in time for Rodrigo to show his real colors, as he is also trying to extort money from Lulu, if not in cash, then in services. Lulu convinces Geschwitz to meet Rodrigo in a private room (she has a hilarious reaction to this, appearing to almost throw up in her mouth just a little bit), meanwhile Alwa has taken the fake deck of cards from Schigoltz to try his hand at the card game yet again. He starts out winning, but is soon discovered, and pandemonium breaks out (meanwhile Geschwitz has killed Rodrigo back in the room). Cops are swarming all over the boat, Lulu, Alwa and Schigoltz escape in a rowboat. End of Act Six.
