J says: I had the Benny Belle: 2 poached eggs and smoked gouda on fried green tomatoes, topped with Hollandaise. What I ate was good, and the eggs were fairly well done, but I was hoping the gouda would be melted. Also, the fried green tomato was distinctly red, and was cooked into mush. Tasty mush, but still mush. What both of us ordered versus what we ate left me feeling slightly uninspired. Rating: JJ
A says: I had the Strawberry Stuffed French Toast - mostly because the menu claims it's French toast stuffed with fresh strawberries, cream cheese and sprinkled with icing sugar. Sounds delicious. What I got was 2 slices of pretty dry, sub-par French toast with another slice of pretty dry, sub-par French toast in between them with a little bit of cream cheese spread on it. And a whole bunch of strawberries. And no icing sugar. I doused the whole thing in maple syrup and it was ok. This place seems like a favourite hang out for the Davisville crowd and apparently they have a pretty great patio in the summer. Maybe I would go back for a drink and some standard pub food, but definitely not for the brunch. Rating: AA
