what are your general thoughts on cgi he man?
Overall I liked it.
There were a few changes to the MotU lore I didn't like, but a lot of changes I did like!
I liked having the addition of another woman on the heroes team by changing Ram Man in Ram Ma'am. MotU suffers from a lack of women. Krass is one step on the path to changing that.
I liked Adam having no memories of being a prince and instead growing up a poor villager in a remote settlement in the middle of no where. I never really cared about Adam before. He connected with me as a viewer. Part of that was that I just won't care about a "hero" that grew up wealthy and privileged. Growing up as Prince of the World, I didn't understand what made Adam a hero in the original MotU. But the CGI show have him a true Hero's Journey where you can clearly see what makes him a hero. Its not because he's the heir of the faction that's already in power, and its not because the Sorceress just decided to up and hand him the sword one day. CGI Adam proved himself a worthy Champion before he ever became He-Man.
I like how everyone gets a transformation. Everyone is a magical girl. All the heroes, and all the villains.
I liked that Evil-Lyn, the token woman on the villains' team, is no longer shipped with the leader. Its always been a pet peeve of mind of the only girl in a group getting with the leader of the group for no other reason than he's the leader and she's the only woman. Plus, her banter with Kronis is so cute!
So, yeah! There's a lot of stuff I like about it. the CGI MotU is a good series and I highly recommend it!
