Tenna’s gone ꠸ꪀᥴꪮᧁꪀꫀꪖꪻ-ꪮ for his visit to the big CC, but he sticks out like a sore thumb nonetheless. His attempt at drabbing-down his outfit just makes a stronger contrast between him and the neon aesthetics of the city, his gait is too slow to keep up with the modern hustle and bustle of the locals, and despite his best efforts, he still towers over everyone around him like a lumbering junk heap.
He shouldn’t be here. He should never have come.
He’s just on the verge of screaming his frustrations to the sky and running back to his own world to throw himself pitifully into Mike’s arms when one of the many scurrying little locals brushes past him. Tenna catches a glimpse of their face, and—
the static in the air between them is 𝚎𝚕𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚛𝚒𝚌. (Probably literally. But more importantly figuratively, the kind of 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 that makes you have to stop and straighten out your antennas just to settle all the jitters shaking static into your screen.)
Tenna stops and stares. Someone behind him grumbles out a complaint as she walks into his leg. He’s holding up foot traffic, a big, dumbfounded obstacle right in the middle of the sidewalk, but he hardly notices.
…who is that? He feels sure he’s never seen them before, but that doesn’t stop a sudden, strange longing from blooming in his chest. Is this deja-vu? Or does the stranger’s face just remind him of a certain You-Know-Who?
“Hey!” His voice is lost in the blaring honk of a horn from a nearby car. The stranger is already walking away, nearly lost in the sea of busy Cyber Citizens hurrying to and fro. Tenna has to carefully pick his way along the sidewalk to avoid crushing little computer bugs like (𝐀𝐍𝐓)𝐬 as he gives chase.
It’s hard to imagine the stranger doesn’t notice a giant television in lukewarm pursuit. Do they stop to confront him? Try to duck away? Tenna won’t let them escape! He can’t! He has to see them more clearly, talk to them, figure out why they feel so 𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚜𝚒𝚋𝚕𝚢 𝚏𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚒𝚊𝚛.
