Another rant here.

The teachers who give a required number of references.

If I have 20 shitty references apparently that means it’s more reliable than 5 solid reliable relevant references.

Especially if you are working with a rather obscure topic it is quite difficult to even get that many relevant references at all.

Quality over quantity my dudes.

So it turns out that in my university and in my country it’s not a requirement for lectures or tutors to have a teaching degree or qualification.

As long as you have a degree in your subject and know it well apparently that means you know how to teach it.

It explains so much of previous shitty lecturers who I was wondering how on earth did you become a lecturer you’re a terrible teacher.

Turns out it doesn’t matter.
