So, a bit of a story behind this piece by Rofljay. (full pic here) Last Bronycon, me, Jay, and a bunch of others stayed at what we called the Bronycon Bunker. Krypt hung out with us for a while, and I forget when but at some point in that we played a game of 3-way Chess that I had brought along. While Krypt and Jay mainly focused on each other, I played defensively, waiting for them to bash each other down. When Krypt was almost defeated, they realized what was going on and teamed up on me. Game went on a bit longer, Krypt was brought down to a king wandering around the board, and me and Jay shaped up for the final battle. Krypt was still alive, though, so he did his turn once per rotation, and on one of them... we found out that he had broken the game.
He had somehow managed to put his king in a spot where it was not in check, but everywhere that he could move it would be in check. Therefore, he had no legal moves available to him. We couldn't figure out what to do! We had to declare a stalemate. Krypt, in preventing either of us had winning, had dead-handed the game into oblivion and 'won', in a sense. It was so nuts I commissioned Jay immediately to draw it. Now, ᵗᵉᶰ ᵐᵒᶰᵗʰˢ ᶫᵃᵗᵉʳ, it's finally done. I told him to focus on making the expressions as dynamic as possible, and I must say that this is pretty accurate to how we were feeling that day. What a magnificent bastard.
Note: The chessboard arrangement is exactly like how it was on Krypt's Broken Turn, as per a picture I took of it. Feel free to analyze it and tell us if there's anything we could have done to save it.
