Dearest Marie-Louise For at least nine months that we have not seen, nor have we spoken to each other since then I have been busy. My life has become an endlessly chasms and excesses, now I'm just a guy lost in the middle of the road. In part, this is awful, but then ... you can imagine, even so, I think I'm doing well. What really bothers me is not knowing what has happened to his life, and how you have gone to the events in recent months. As far as this is concerned, I hope that life is treating you well. Or so desire. Often, I have tried to call your phone, and occasionally, I sent a postcard, much to my regret, in all this time, I have not heard from him, and receive no response to any of the post, I was distressed deeply. I can not erase from my memory that red card, the old ashtray, both wonderful and intense nights we shared during our trip from Lisbon to Luxembourg. As you can see, I can not forget at all, quite the contrary, what happened on that trip are still fond memories for me. I regret his decision to remain silent and perhaps, you want to break this silence for once! and invite me to visit to Luxembourg, otherwise, I hope, at least, to find out why it would not be possible to meet, but it was just one last time. I know you hate to write, therefore, if it did mean a lot to me. I will stay in Saarbrucken for 6 months, living with two women and a man. Where to find me absent when you call, please leave a message and as soon as I can, I will contact you. Usually, you can find me at home between 18.00 and 20.00. I hope that through this letter, to find a person who does not like losing it considers important contacts, despite us not seen for over a year. I am extremely excited about the very idea of seeing her again, and to meet again at a dinner together in Luxembourg. No other woman with whom I'd rather share an evening, just you. I hope to see it soon, many dear greetings. Jürgen.
The Exploration
I can guarantee that the place you are going to see next is one of the most beautiful we have ever visited. It is more work for you when it comes to organizing and completing cost us so far, it has been many hours in front of the screen and much time has been invested, therefore we expect that the delay worthwhile. Although not characterized by its architectural beauty and other findings have been seen in Ksilencio, the K mansion itself be wonderful in every way, an old farm house in a wealthy town hosted in Europe, an authentic beauty forgotten in the time, almost like a museum stuffed with such items as descriptive of another era that transported us to contemplate so that we did not give credit. Towards long time since I enjoyed so much in an abandoned place, this is definitely one of the best places we have ever been, because we spent most of that day in that location lost. Bibles, canning jars, spirits, a calendar dating from 1948, paintings, photographs and all kinds of personal items like glasses bearing the same man who appeared in an old photograph with them or their ID, suitcases Sunday clothes, utensils even care personal hygiene as an amazing bottle of aftershave from 1932 still unused which I had the opportunity to sniff. Imagine the feeling perceived by discovering a fragrance locked 77 years ago in that container.
Written Aimlessly
It is easy for us to imagine the emotion that you experienced after reading this letter, a feeling that makes you shudder when you discover these first paragraphs. By chance we came up with a catch with the mobile phone of this writing, to return later in the trip, that would translate to more calm, and that was in a dialect difficult to decipher at a glance. Let you know all the feelings that seized us to explore the rooms and see in detail each of the treasures of incalculable sentimental value was our goal, and what better way to transport you to this wonderful written with no destination.
With Religious Vocation
It was small, with low ceilings, rooms filled with worn wooden floors and worn that resonated with every step that led us through the various accommodations of the house, the rooms full of light and with countless crucifixes, pictures of virgins and saints , were wonderful and we made it clear that the characteristics of those symbols people who lived there were religious, as we saw later by various documents we found Mr. Jürguen, a civil engineer with a religious vocation.
Lost in Time
The ghosts of the past always come in one way or another, help us imagine and give us the sense, for they are relieved us in times when no one is watching, in which no one listens and who deserves the worth all the effort. Those who understand the meaning of conquering these places understand perfectly what it means to discover and bind each detail lost in time.
A Treasure Ignition
The desk was wonderful, the furniture craftsmen were full of details, objects stacked on the shelves next to the half-empty glasses of liquor provided lots of possibilities when taking a catch of the place, even the candles were one treasure on.
That Distant Room
Hats, umbrellas and even a urinal, broken dreams by concerns dissipated calm morning, with the light that had that distant room.
Slice Of Life
Beside the bed, a communion dress like that a few minutes later found in an old picture postcard, another reason to be thrilled by the successful visit because for us, these are the most desired awards when we embarked on something and we get a bit of life.
That Wood Airplane
I can not recall the number of crafts we could locate that morning, but were very many such as desks, tables, perfume bottles, discs, including a bicycle and wooden built this aircraft surely to the delight of a child eager for letting your imagination with this wooden airplane.
Corroded By Time
Another remarkable characteristic object in such environments are classic bikes, which always give much play when photographed. Illuminated by a small window near the ground, that object reflecting a golden light looks almost unreal. That gave us perfect light conditions to extract all the detail that was his old handle, which after a long break was corroded by time.
Another important finding these beautiful books are illustrated with cardboard cover (no dust jacket) and screen craft, this was particularly the Vienna Donauland 1959 book in German, are history books about small towns forest and other stories Paul Keller. In the back you can see the picture on show in a German history library. Apparently, these books are very expensive and are highly sought after, as a rule are difficult to locate as I found and if you look this guy had a whole collection of them authentic, different volumes on different cities, an authentic beauty even in very good condition, as they had as a blanket protection against dust and light.
incredible when you explore a place full of relics, antiques and personal belongings, is the best way to transport you to another time, to imagine every detail of every corner and the people who gave life to be there. When I researched a little more about this particular vacuum cleaner, a relic of the 70s I was surprised how they were sought by collectors and the amount of information I found online about this legendary brand of vacuum cleaners. A little history ... Read more: The first vacuum Hoover History In 1907, an inventor named Murray Spangler was living in Canton, Ohio. While he spent his days dreaming of new inventions, worked nights as a janitor to help pay the rent. While sweeping, dirt and dust that aggravated his asthma. Spangler began working on an invention that could contain dust instead of shake and spread. Using a pillowcase, a fan and a big box of metal, created the vacuum cleaner, and called the machine "electric suction sweeper" and began producing additional units to sell to friends and family. With the help of his wife and children, Spangler started producing 2 or 3 units each week. That Christmas, he sent one of his electric sweepers his cousin, Susan Hoover.
Our Precious Time
We were not aware of the time that had elapsed since we go through one of the doors of the shed that faced the back of this enigmatic place, but disconnected so that when we had the chance to watch the clock, we found we were robbed of our precious time.
On the right of the picture, by the window you can see a box of cigarettes Cogetama 1936, very old brand of snuff that Leonard founded Vandewalle, today is worshiped among collectors of cigar packs, for its main icon is the image of this famous Indian. More info at: Cogètama
Another finding was found this old bottle of liquid for development of the now defunct Kodak brand.
Walking up a narrow staircase to the store, find an old wooden cupboard where they rested a few jars of canned fermented and corrupted by time and hopelessly waiting on those old shelves. After all, these bottles had endured a time at least, some even identifiable, such as tomatoes, potatoes, peppers and that sort of thing that used to be in those containers for onwards supply called and known as "preserved"
brushes, combs and other items that could harbor thousands of different compositions, and quantity of ideas gave us when displaying on the web. A metal bottle curioseara made later to try to find it was this thing called "Boraxo" apparently Boraxo is an American brand of soap powder. As its name implies, consists largely Boraxo borax, and was used for cleaning hands especially during the dirty work for mechanics and farmers. Boraxo began as a product of the old Pacific Coast Borax Company (later acquired by U.S. Borax), and became known as one of the sponsors of the radio products durable and Western television, Death Valley Days. While the future President Ronald Reagan was the host of the program, often commercial made for him, including his involvement in his family's ranch. Since 2006, Boraxo is manufactured and marketed by the Dial Corporation. Dial was acquired by Henkel, a German company.
The first impression was a feeling claustrophobic, perhaps by the size of the input and the lack of input situation of neglect, lighting variation blinded us to the top, however after a few minutes, and when our eyes were accustomed discovered we were capable of differentiating in great detail everything that was around us.
Seeking the light
We wanted every corner, every detail slightly illuminated by the light of the morning enriching semi wet, exhausted by fatigue, aroused by contemplating those bits of history.
