► GIOTTO | Giotto made it a habit to walk into town and visit the farmers market at least once a week, every other week, max. It was a way for him to feel involved in the town he was working so hard to protect. A way for him to upkeep the bonds and friendships he had made over the years. Plus, it was nice to escape the heavy weight and responsibility being a mafia boss could bring.
From time to time, G would join him if he managed to get him out of bed early enough. With the promise of taking him to his favorite brunch spot once they were done, the duo roamed the many aisles of fruit stands and other produce. Giotto was stopped almost every place they stopped, engaging in pleasant conversation with everyone who had the time.
“Thank you, Mrs. Dias. I will be sure to pass the message along,” Giotto spoke out with a chuckle, tucking the shining fruit into the basket that hung from his elbow. Stepping back, he turned to move on, only to take pause when he felt G step in closer. A question was about to escape him, until the words registered in his brain.
Almost immediately, his cheeks burned a deep red as he rounded on his best friend, one hand shooting out to roughly smack at his shoulder, the other whipping up to cover the lower portion of his face. “G!” He hissed out, eyes darting about wildly. Clearing his throat into his fist, he looked off to the side coyly.
“L-Let’s get going, before they sell out of fresh bread,” Giotto muttered, quickly moving on to hide his flustered features. However, after a few paces forward, he paused and looked over his shoulders at G. “We ... Can rain check on brunch, though, and h-head back right after.” With another clear of his throat, he weaved his way through the crowds towards the last stop on his list.
