A lil 3D Nostalgic Kumos for my pet on Subeta (my pet is also named Subeta). Nostalgic Kumos belongs to Subeta.net, a very fun and cute site I highly recommend!

I enjoy doing 3D stuff but I always tend to make things overly detailed so I just wanted to try something simple.

1/16 - Mabel's 1st Birthday (part 1)

Today is a very important day in the Kumo house. Today is baby Mabel’s first birthday!

“Mabel hasn't had a birthday before?” Charles asks.

“No she hasn't, this is her first birthday.” Uncle Maite told them. 

“How has she had a birthday before? Everyone has one every year!” Amelia gasps. 

“Well, Mabel is turning one today, she’s only one year old which means this is the first year she has one.” Uncle Daniel says.

“But why didn't she have one last year? She was here last year.” Clara insists. Cecil and Coraline nodded as they added, 

“Yes yes! Mabel was here for the autumnal equinox!” Coraline reminds them, 

“And she was here for Clara’s and mine birthday party!” Cecil huffs, 

“And she was here for new years!” Clara crosses her arms. 

“She was definitely here last year!” the three of them say. 

“That is correct, Baby Mabel was here last year for all of those things.” Grandfather Edward agrees, “but a babies firth birthday happens a year after they are born. Birthdays are a celebration of how many years old you are, so a baby’s first birthday is when they turn one year old.” 

“But… Wasn't she one last year?” George asks, pointing at baby Mabel. 

“Yes yes! Isn't she already one? She should be turning two!” Amelia agrees, pointing at George now, “George was one when he came from Mama!” 

“Yes I know.” Grandfather Edward replies, “That's how a baby's age is thought of in Japan so you and George were one when you were born, but Baby Mabel was zero when she was born, and she has been growing bigger and bigger for her first birthday.” 

“So… what does someone do on their first birthday?” The cousins ask

I may or may not have introduced this years old(I'm talking 2008 old) OC of mine, KUMOS(whose name is all caps like this because it's the shortened version of a ridiculously long name he has).

He's had heaps of design revisions, simply because this was a character I created when I was 13 and I haven't really gotten his design the way I like it up until recently. The big nose was pretty much an important design trait he's always had, being almost pure black was another(but recently changed it up to resemble orca colors, which coincides with the tail he has), but I've changed his "hair" a few times in order to make it resemble dorsal fins a bit more.

And even after all these years, I still don't know what the heck he's supposed to be! All I can say for sure is that he's an interdimensional traveler, he doesn't need food or drink to live(but eats and drinks primarily for the creature comforts), wears his glasses for aesthetic(as he explains to someone), he has powers that he's carried through traveling through different dimensions(such as having a low-gravity effects to him), and his family really doesn't like him for a petty reason(in the dimension he's from, he was booted from there because they say he was a "defect").
