Translations for some of the hungarian dialogues between Vasko , Jasak and other cumans... when they are sitting in the tavern and waiting for somebody to serve them food:

Cuman: "I don't like how they are looking at us. " Jasak: "It was a mistake to come here." Vasko: "If we will be calm, then they will be as well." Cuman: "Easy to say that. Another spit and I can't take it anymore." Vasko: "I am telling you, chill! " (sort of... "nyugi" is slang for "be calm/be chill") Jasak: "They look at us like at murderers." Cuman: "Are you surprised?" Vasko: "Let's eat and then we fuck off /get lost from here!" (not exactly fuck off, not vulgar, but slang phrase that means the same)

After the fight at the tavern, when they are walking away:

Jasak: "What the fuck was that? I told you it was a stupid idea." Vasko: "It wasn't a bad idea. But I thought it would turn out differently. I really did believe that." Jasak: "What did you expect?" Vasko: "One chance." (To be given a chance) Jasak: "I don't know where you get all this trust from. To these people we are just trash/scum." Vasko: "I understand that. But somebody has to start convincing them that not everybody is the same." Jasak: "And why would that be us?" Vasko: "Why not?" Jasak: "Vasko... I don't know. Maybe we should go back." Vasko: "To the army? Never. Don't you like freedom?" Jasak: "This is what you call freedom? We can't even go out to eat." Vasko: "I am not saying that it is ideal." Jasak: "It isn't. Far from it."

I really liked these 2 convos #first i wanted to post all the screenshots with every line and translation under but it would just bloat the post... so english text only #btw Vasko's voice actor is definitely not a native speaker...has a slight accent... I am still so impressed by the hungarian dialogues in Kingdom Come Deliverance. I just finished the quest "Lost in Translation" where we have to find a translator to interrogate a captured Cuman soldier. The translator actually spoke hungarian with a heavy accent, clearly not a native speaker, while the cuman was voiced by someone who spoke clearly, a native speaker probably. Incredible level of realism and attention to detail. Ofc it shouldn't be a big deal to hire native speakers for characters that are meant to be native speakers and non-native speakers for characters like the translator. But let's face it, 99% of media doesn't give a shit when they include foreign languages and usually it all sounds terrible and often even grammatically incorrect. lol because the creators just think "haha nobody will understand. it's just meant to be gibberish. who cares" kingdom come deliverance is a rare gem in this regard as well
