the rain had been going on for hours now, harshly tinkling against the window as if it was threatening to break the glass.
most customers had already left, and not many had entered, mostly because of the bad weather since it usually swarmed with people.
but there were a couple that remained, though kou had to close up the shop and he'd then have to approach a young lady that hadn't been getting ready to leave like the others.
“ah, excuse me. we’re about to close now. it’s not closing time yet, but just so you know.” he looked outside the window, sighing at the never-changing sight of rain. "but it sure is bad weather outside. did you bring an umbrella with you?"
