Clearly distracted by something to even notice the Dragon approaching before slinging her over his shoulder which Sorano reacted with a gasp and a 'oop-' escaping her lips.

"Gajeel?? ... Is this really necessary?!"

Despite her 'protests' she made no effort in trying to 'free' herself from the others playful gesture, at least that was how Sorano saw the 'abduction' as - was this going to be how he greeted her from now on?

"... Miss you? Maybe-- Where are you taking me?"

She pouted loudly, attempting to change the subject to figuring out WHY he was walking away with her over his shoulder.

A LOW LAUGH CAME FROM GRAY AS HE WATCHED THE REST OF THE GUILD. leave it to natsu's infectious energy to cause an absolute disaster in the middle of the guild. it was honestly a miracle both the dragon and demon had managed to stay on the outside long enough not to be roped in.

There's a knock at the door to the DBT hideout, the sound likely louder than the Dragon intended it to be. Why was he there? Well, they'd know once someone opened the door to the hideout since he wasn't intending on going inside uninvited. Once the door was opened, he'd hand Rust or Ink (whoever answered the door) an invitation.

"I came to invite yer group to the feast my guild is hostin'. There'll be some sorta gift exchange later but the main thing is the food. Hopefully yer gonna be able to make it."

Being that he was the Guild Master, visiting them himself showed how much he valued the teens. He had also claimed both Ink and Rust as siblings of sorts. While some of the members might not know him that well, everyone in the group was set to receive at least one gift from the guild. Since some of the members took the time to hang out with other people in his guild there were things that those getting them would enjoy.

"It starts in a couple hours and we're gonna be up celebratin' til sometime tomorrow so there'll be beds set up for everyone who comes in the guildhall." (For the entire DBT since Gaj has interacted with most if not all of them before.)

"Coming!"

Opening the door, it's the blond, Rust. He smiles seeing who came to the door. "Yo Gajeel bro! What's up?" He asked. Then he blinked as he got a card. An invitation. To a Christmas feast.

"Sweet, thanks! I will let Ink and the rest of our team know!" Rust grinned. Knowing them, they might want to bring something to a party. Like food as a way to thank them for their invitation. Plus small treat bags like candy cane and chocolate truffles.

Starts in a few hours, huh?

Time to get to work then!

"Will do! Thanks a lot, Gajeel! We see you there!" Rust grins. Speaking of which, Rust has a gift in store for Gajeel so he is going to give it to him at the party. He hopes he likes it. It's something he needs and something he put into thought!

"Apparently, Master decided you and I were the 'perfect' fit for this job, Gray. I can't say I know much 'bout it, but, it is what it is,"

He's holding the flyer Makarov handed him, it showed they wanted 'two Slayers' from Fairy Tail, and while Gray wasn't a Dragon Slayer, he WAS still a SLAYER. Therefore, he and Gajeel were picked by the Master to go on the job. He wasn't sure how things would go, since he'd never really fought beside the other male in any real capacity or situation, but he WAS one of the people the Dragon seemed to get along with well enough. Since Natsu wasn't tagging along, perhaps things would go smoothly for the two of them.

"We leave whenever yer ready, since I always have my stuff ready to go. I'm good whenever ya are, and don't worry 'bout the train... I'm not like Natsu. I actually take somethin' to combat it. I won't get sick while we ride it." (Have this discussed thing?)

CONFUSION LINED THE DEVIL SLAYER'S REACTION AS HE LOOKED DOWN THE JOB REQUEST. He knew the guild was infamous for the amount of dragon slayers they possessed, so he had a hunch he was being assigned this job on technically alone. That poor requester is gonna have to learn to specify in the future. The devil slayer took the paper and skimmed it again, making sure he read everything correctly.

A MONSTER INFESTATION ON A SMALLER VILLAGE IN THE NORTHERN PART OF FIORE. It honestly was a pretty standard request, made him wonder why exactly they had request for slayers to do the job, but who was he to go against their wishes. He hummed in acknowledgement to Gajeel's comment about leaving, even huffing a half laugh at the Natsu comment.

❝ Wasn't expecting a job today so I'll need to swing by my place and grab my bag, but it's on the way to the train station to it won't delay us any.

GRAY PAUSED, LOOKING UP AT GAJEEL AS A THOUGHT CROSSED HIS MIND. The more he thought about it, the more he realized he never had actually worked with Gajeel. Sure, they were on the same team during the final days of GMG, but even then the didn't actually do any fighting together.

THERE WAS LAUGHTER LINING GRAY'S TONE AS HE SMIRKED TOWARD GAJEEL. Leave it to the fairy tail guild to break out into chaos at the drop of a hat, and for once, Gray wasn't pulled into it, instead getting to enjoy being an observer alongside the iron dragon slayer.

❝ 50 Jewel says Juvia's gonna rock Natsu's shit. I mean, he was the one to fuck around, time for him to find out.

"That I do.. With your body broken and lying in a bloody heap." Alaric remembered Gajeel, a member of Phantom Lord that was well known for his Metal Dragon Slayer magic. Why was he hunting him down like this? His business was none of his concern, at least the man thought as much. That didn't mean that this interference was going to be shrugged off, oh no. Gajeel's appearance here had gotten in the silverette's way of his next big plan. So needless to say, it put him in a foul mood. "You think this will end well for you? I think not.."

A key was brought forth as he aimed it at the ground and gave it a turn. "Rise with the toll of the cracked bell. Raise your heads high to bring the stars down low.. Come forth, Gogyo!" The ground trembled as the massive serpentine creature appeared, five necks branched out from the stone body as the spirit fully materialized. Each head released a loud bellow as they woke, seeing the prey before them.
