Video of the Day: Kurt Swinghammer’s ‘Falling Star’
Today’s find is Canadian songwriter and composer Kurt Swinghammer’s tribute to Russian astronaut Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman to fly in space. Weekend Music Meltdown: "Turpentine Wind" by Kurt Swinghammer

This weekend, I'm beta-testing "The Elder Scrolls Online".
I decided to use 2 characters: an Orcish stealth warrior and a Nord knight.
For the Orc, I simply made up something based loosely on my name.
For the Nord, Kurt Swinghammer came to mind.
In the 80s and the 90s, Swinghammer was one of Toronto's acclaimed musician/artists, a vet of the mythical Queen West scene.
I realized that he never went away. Like fellow contemporary Ron Sexsmith, Kurt Swinghammer simply stuck around doing what he does best.
So, while you enjoy listening to "Turpentine Wind", somewhere in Tamriel, Kurt Swinghammer is slaying Daedric butt.
NOTE TO ESO BETA-TESTERS: I have been experiencing some issues involving getting stuck in the NPC convo screen after finishing the dialogue. I haven't filed a bug report yet, but if the real Kurt Swinghammer were to be stuck in that situation, he wouldn't be too damned pleased about it himself. Just a thought.
