A poem I wrote in the midst of this weird head space that I've been in for a while. I battled with myself with posting a video of me reading my own work because, it's just...vulnerable. I haven't uploaded in about 4 months and if you happen to come across this video and watch it completely through, I genuinely appreciate you.
Don’t waste your time tryna waste mines
betrayal saves you from believing they were ready for you.

your wounds tell a great story but they are not your identity. you have to separate your being and your hurting in order to see this.

If their kisses are traced with eternity, fall. Fall heavy and fall hard. The pain will only last with the last of you.

Stop. Let him go. He’s gone and he’s never coming back. Even if he still wants to keep in touch with you and talk to you, stop. He left you, he broke your heart, he ripped you as if you were the tides in the ocean. He dropped you and didn’t think twice to pick you up. So let him go, let him go and don’t chase after him. Chasing winds won’t give you oxygen, it’ll just take yours away. Stay still and calm like an ocean breeze and get up slowly like the rising sun. He won’t come back to you, even if he comes back to you telling you with tears in his eyes that he still loves you, his essence and his spirit are long gone and you won’t ever get them back. I know it hurts but darling you have to let him go.
He wasn’t the one.
