I’m teaching my children to take on the sea and still respect the little stream. It is a work in progress but if they’re able to grab that, they will be truly hard to beat in life. 2020 is a blessing. A lot of what needs to crumble are. The dross is falling off quickly as the fire gets hotter. I’ve asked myself more questions in these few months than I have my whole lifetime. Covid-19 slowed me down, and now I’m taking in a lot more of the scenery. I can smell the flowers, count the trees, watch the birds and read slowly. I am grateful for so much. I am thankful for many little things. I am blessed to be here., in 2020. My wife asked me to help her negotiate with Agoogi, the fish seller. I got her the worst deal ever. Agoogi was happy. I was happy. My wife was... well, you can guess. My grandma sold fish at Tema Fishing Harbour. Agoogi reminded me of her: Her hustle, her strength, her perseverance, her calmness, her wit. There’s no way on earth I’m going to low ball my grandma.
