5. My time has come! I'm so excited for this question. They got maybe two to three seconds of screen time, and I'm actually obsessed with them. They're so cute.

The scene with these guys always makes me so happy. I love wordplay, so no surprise I'd also like artplay or whatever you might call this.

I answered 12 here, so I'm going to swap that for:

16. Who’s your favorite villain?

I almost went with 2k3 Bishop, so I don't think it should be a huge surprise that he lost out to 2k3's Rat King, who is partially a Bishop clone:

Even though he's a minor villain, he inspired one of my early fanfics, where I got drawn in by the creepiness of Bishop utilizing his own DNA to try and engineer living weapons. This Rat King is rife for a lot of angst. He's got an immensely intriguing and fucked up backstory. And he's just plain fun.

Honorable Mention to Dr. Abigail Finn, who is more antagonist than villain (in 2k3, anyway - she sounds like an actual villain in the comics), but still.

(Went with the comic image instead of 2k3 because DAMN that's a good design.) I've always found her a really interesting character (she's a giant, strong, and intelligent woman!? gimme more!). I tried to start a round robin about her back in the day because I've always wanted to explore her character more but never had a fully fleshed idea of a story to do so, but it unfortunately got no traction, so now she just lives in the back of my head. Justice for Dr. Finn, lol.

Little Leo has just been given his very own journal to record all his thoughts and feelings. Splinter hopes it will help him get them out of his own head a little.

This work perfectly captures the nature of young children, especially siblings growing up in close quarters. And, without spoiling it, the ending really reframes the whole story in a new, poignant light that feels so viscerally real.

31.) Do you start with the characters or the plot when writing?

Hmmm, I don't really have very plot heavy stories, so probably the characters — it really all comes down to me wanting to say something about a character. Though when brainstorming the premise sometimes comes first (particular for prompt fills) and the character moment stems from that so...both haha.

71.) When it comes to more complicated narratives, how do you keep track of outlines, characters, development, timeline, ect.?

I did answer this one here, but tldr; I'm still figuring it out! For now I mostly stick to oneshots to avoid planning as much as possible. XD

To avoid posting more snippets from the same WIP, I'll instead share an unposted darktober prompt fill:

A smile you shouldn’t trust

Mikey knows he should be more skeptical when Leo walks into his room with a wide grin on his face, but his good sense is thrown to the side when Leo tells him that he's picked up the comic Mikey has been waiting to get for months. He immediately jumps up out of bed and follows Leo out of his room, making grabby hands as he peppers his brother with questions, only to deflate when Leo sweeps a hand out over the main room and says he's hidden it somewhere in the mess that currently fills the space. So maybe Mikey forgot that he left the skate ramps out, and the board games, and the comics and crafts, and maybe he hadn't really cleaned up the various food containers from his veg session on the couch, not to mention the spilled cola from the other day; but it's not THAT bad. Leo clearly disagrees as he shoves a garbage bag into Mikey's still outstretched hands, smile sharpening into something mildly threatening as he tells Mikey the comic is his if he can find it. Mikey grumbles as he takes the cleaning supplies, message received — he'll do it, but he is going to riot if the comic book isn't actually in here somewhere.
