It has been a long night the night before, staying up late the night before to finish wrapping presents. Trixie had slept soundly, barely moving an inch. At least not until the next morning when she was woken to a child jumping on their bed. ‘Mommas! Wake up! It’s Christmas!’ Trixie groaned, peaking open one eye and looking up at her over excited daughter. “Val! I’m sleeping.” She grumbled. Val plopped down to wedge herself between her moms, wiggling as much as she could. ‘But it’s Christmas!’ Val whined, shaking KyAnne this time. ‘Momma Ky! Mommy won’t get up.’ Trixie sighed, pushing up from her sleeping position. “Fine I’m up.” She grumbled, leaning over to check on her sleeping lover. “C’mon, leave Momma Ky alone. Let’s go make her breakfast.” She grinned, kissing KyAnne’s cheek before helping Val from the bed.
Half an hour later found the two in the kitchen of the District Two victor’s house. Pancakes were stacked on a plate and Trixie was flipping the bacon in a skillet. The smell of cinnamon wafted through the house from homemade cinnamon rolls and both Trixie and Val were a mess of flour. “Baby, go pick out which juice you want.” Trixie said, helping Val down from her step stool. She watched with a small smile as the small child hurried to the fridge. Trixie took the last of the bacon from the skillet and turned the stove off, moving the pan away from the burner. “I’m going to go wake Momma up.” She told her daughter. “Stay away from the stove.”
She made her way to her room and shut the door behind her. Making her way back to the bed, she crawled under the covers, laying beside the blonde. Her fingers snaked under KyAnne’s shirt. “Wake up, babe.” She whispered, kissing KyAnne’s shoulder.
