I normally really enjoy working out and lifting but recently I started having debilitating joint pain that the doctors think might be from an autoimmune disease. Since going through this I haven't been able to work out, I feel lazy, and I'm stressed so I'm eating a lot of fast food. I just feel gross. I don't really know why I'm writing all of this to you, but I just need someone to know how I'm feeling.
So lifting causes pain?
Could you try switching to exercise that is not as straining on the joints like swimming, elliptical machines, yoga, and Tai Chi (the style emphasizing health over combat)?
You could also try taking walks (there are 2 factors of exercise that are important, 1-it gets your body moving and 2-it’s the right exercise for you (does not cause pain, you enjoy it, you feel satisfied after doing it)).
You could also try making the food at home that you want to eat for comfort food; for me comfort food means Greek food, rice, beef, that sort of thing. You want it for a reason but why not try making it at home instead?
