Didn’t have such a good number today, but managed to get up to the vertical barrier in the middle, so mostly had good view. But because of barrier my back and hip are screaming now XD But it was a really good show :)

Ooh God, their hairstyles SUCK. It's usually one of the first things I end up downloading. My Sims have to be pretty!
They're terrible, yeah. There are unusually many usable ones in S4 in men's hair - a shocker, holy shit - but it's still... too few. Better than S2 where I was stuck using the same hair for everyone until CC came for rescue.
I'm honestly just so terrified right now of even trying CC because it's destroyed all my favourite games for the past fifty years - Sims 2, Sims 3 (Sims 3 turned out to be just generally unplayable, though, I went with just NRaas and it STILL sucked), Skyrim - and I just don't want that anymore. Urrgghh.

Yeah, definitely wait for now. I said in another post that maybe until expansion, at least cc if you use it, and for the initial patching to be over so that they'll start actually adding stuff. It's kept me going for 18 hours straight and at this point, I don't really mind the lack of customization so much. What I really need is more hairstyles, though. More. Hairstyles. As per usual there are only like three I can use. >_>

Internet always complains first. I don't know, I love it. My experience with both sims 2 and sims 3 was that they don't fucking work, bugged to all hell and basically unplayable. This is smooth as fuck. The neighbourhood is tiny and if you go anywhere outside the immediate zone (there are other houses and areas in it, though, not just your lot) there's a loading screen, but tbh, I never leave my house and I never interact with anyone and I just basically play to have a 10 levels long family tree so this fits me, eh. (something you learn to do when scrolling around is a fucking pain.)
The movement is absolutely painless, the interface is weird as shit but you get used to it and it actually works, the neighbourhood - as small as it is - is full of random sims that are completely effortless to interact with and then ditch forever because wtf is friendship, you can literally just catch someone on the street without having to wait for them to finish whatever action they're doing, the multitasking is brilliant, and the graphics are great.
Another thing I love about the neighbourhood is that you can go anywhere, there isn't that whole click-blob-click-blob-wait feeling to it at all, it's really simple and nice. I... haven't tried building anything yet but I don't think much has changed on that. The lack of customization in clothes and furniture is regrettable, but doesn't hinder my life too much. I'm sure someone whose playing style is build/decor oriented will tell you otherwise. I've never cared so much, I just want the story. Not had much experience with the moods but I'm absolutely in love with the social revamps, like situational interactions, because moving back to categorized if you don't have something you want to have is effortless, and the conversation literally goes on even as you're picking options.
Clearly, I've played this for two hours, so I don't know jack or squat yet, but the first impression is good for me. It's entirely different from the previous games, though. Everything but the concept has changed from S3.
