Hi there!! I'm so happy to request something, I've been following your works on ao3 for years now :)

May I please ask for a kny pet au request, in which the demons are in a good home and have all their needs fulfilled. The only real downside is that their owner is much touchier than they are used to/is proper. Not sexual at all, just affectionate touches like hugs and maybe even cuddling (if the demons would ever allow that).

For characters, I was thinking Kyojuro, Sanemi, and Gyutaro, but I would be happy with any and all characters you want to write for!

I hope this request made sense! I like the darker fics in this au, but right now I just want some good ol comfort haha. Thank you so much for your time!! 💚

Kyoujurou

But... why? He doesn't dislike how affectionate you are, but it's a strange, sudden change compared to his previous owners, and that requires some adjustment. Kyoujurou allows whatever touching you want with a smile and thanks (he has to be grateful, after all, even if he doesn't understand why you're treating him like this), pushing his confusion to the back burner in favor of proper behavior in the moment. Ultimately, it's not his decision what you do with him, so it's better not to give his worries and confusion too much room to grow. You'll explain yourself when you're ready, if at all.

Sanemi

That kind of touchy-feely affection does not go over well. For one, Sanemi is entirely unused to being treated with anything resembling gentleness. He also is entirely convinced that he doesn't deserve such things, in the first place. For a long time, he'll jerk away and try to warn you that it's a bad idea to let your guard down around him, that you're wasting your time trying to treat him like some sweet, spoiled thing... but eventually, he starts to seem more flustered by the affection than genuinely angry about it. It's not his fault that he got used to it! You're the one who was too persistent!

Gyuutarou

He's immensely uncomfortable, first flinching away from every little touch like he's expecting to be struck, and eventually settling into merely tensing up and visibly trying not to cower. Isn't it disgusting, to touch him so easily? Don't you see how gross he is? Do you just not care? He's too grateful for your kindness to complain, but all of the affection is overwhelming. Uncomfortable, almost, if it wasn't for how his nerves keep reminding him that he's been starved of this. Gyuutarou is convinced that you'll give up on trying to be sweet with him eventually, so he swallows his protests and tries to endure.

For me Shinobu and Kyoujurou vibes seamlessly that Ufotable added a little scene of them chitchatting, for her she heard his last laugh and for him, he didn’t hear Shinobu’s wishes “ take care Rengoku San”… check my previous comic and thoughts abdout their friendship.

I did this comic while writing a creative essay about Kyoujurou to understands him better, and then i wrote about Shinobu hating his positivity guts, to only Kyoujurou replying how clear, and direct his mindset is towards his goals of burning himself to keep everyone warm and alive.

If kyojurou is willing to burn himself for others, shinobu will gladly have a share of his flames. Only to feed the flames of anger within her core, and work harder to avenge her sister.

Help, please, I'm dying! 🤣 In one of the Demon Slayer light novel "Kimetsu Academy" chapters, it's mentioned that they once did a school-wide survey to find out who everyone's favorite teachers were. Rengoku Kyōjurō was voted the most popular teacher in the school (because of course), but just look at what some of the survey participants said (direct quotes):

"I hope he's always so young, hot, and strong."

"Those muscular arms bursting from the rolled-up sleeves of his button-up shirt slay me."

"I want to be the pin on his necktie."

These kids need to calm down! 🤣 Out here in broad daylight, for everyone to see, in a 9 AM history class... 😭

Just imagine waking up at ass o clock in the morning just to make your bread and you the swordsman in your village often comes home at those weird house and stands quietly outside your bakery just for a small whiff

The one time Kyoujuro comes by in the day time, buys a shit ton of bread, eats it all outside, keeps yelling “UMAI!” 

It actually helps the business so you give him a couple things for free lol and thus your relationship with the Flame Pillar begins

Kyoujuro noticing a small dust of flour on your cheek and absentmindedly licking his thumb then wiping it off before going right back into his exciting story 

Your face would be a HAWT as the rolls you pull out of the oven

He would be so smooth?? And he doesn’t even know that he’s doing it??? 

This bakery is under the protection of the RENGOKU FAMILY, YA HEAR 

Karens and demons NOT ALLOWED

You realize that he sits outside your bakery after missions just to smell the bread and decide to have an open door policy for him

So now you knead your dough and let him try your new creations and his head almost touches the ceiling when he sits on the counter as you rush around and pull trays of bread out of the oven 

He brings his tsuguko, Mitsuri, in one day and you have! To! Pretend! Not! To! Be! Jealous!!! 

But mitsuri is your girl and she gets the hint IMMEDIATELY while this dunce still thinks you’re nice to everyone and give away free bread all the time 

He comes back one day after a nasty mission with cuts and bruises and he’s barely able to hold himself up against your door and you drag him inside, stuff a curry bun into his mouth, then do your best to clean up his wounds 

“You idiot! Why didn’t you go to a doctor first!!” 

“I had to see you. No matter what.” 

"Also I was craving a red bean bun"

He can be soft and serious when he wants to be

01 ⠀ patient - giyuu is a bundle of mysteries, mysteries to himself even. & he is quiet, perpetually alone, and perceives himself as an unlikable person, but kyoujurou never forces words out of his mouth, never lets out a sigh of exasperation as he plays with words in his head. instead, he waits, with that radiant smile of his and bright blinking eyes.

02 ⠀ self-assured - you would probably never find someone as self-hating and insecure as giyuu, but seeing the way kyoujurou is just so confident, so optimistic, and so secure makes giyuu believe that maybe things will be alright. & while over-confidence may make him cringe, just the right amount of confidence makes him feel just a bit more secure in this world.

03 ⠀ optimistic - during the frequent times giyuu and kyoujurou share words, giyuu stands there wondering how someone could love the world so much -- this world overrun by evil and admist the throes of war -- but speaking to kyoujurou makes him see the beauty of the world, the meaning of his pitiful life. now when he sees little pink buds or the rainbow after april's rain, maybe he wonders if it's okay to just indulge in the small happinesses of life.

04 ⠀ his touch - specifically, the warmth of kyoujurou's fingers as it brushes past to the hearty pats on the back as he laughs; there is something so reassuring about that touch, a hand holding his, telling him that everything will be alright and that they'll be there for one another 'til the end of the world.

05 ⠀ his laughter - sometimes, giyuu wakes up on the wrong side of the bed and his fatigue adds more to his grumpiness. but always, it is washed away by that uncontrolled, endless laughter; a laughter that swallows away all the pain, a laughter that makes everything feel better, even if it's just for a while.

kyoujurou .

01 ⠀ loving - kyoujurou has heard a little too many times that giyuu was a silent, stoic, and uncaring person. but as they share idle chatter and thoughts during breaks, kyoujurou learns just how wrong they were. he sees the small lifts of lips as giyuu worries over new recruits, the concern in his eyes as he speaks about tanjiro, and the deep longing and mourning hidden in those deep ocean eyes.

02 ⠀ thoughtful - if kyoujurou was the warmth of summer, then giyuu was the gentle splashes of water on the beach or the gentle breeze that passes under the blazing sunshine. be it the deadpan yet amused fleeting words in the midst of kyoujurou's rambling, or the gentle way he calmed him down as he got over-excited, there was something about the way giyuu's words fell perfectly into place, every single time. even if it sometimes took awhile to formulate those words, even if they were said in a passing, even if they were rare.

03 ⠀ considerate - giyuu was never good with words, and kyoujurou is well aware. and where his words could not express the care he felt, his actions sure could. it was the small things that spoke the loudest; the way he always passed the good-tasting food to kyoujurou first, the way he made sure to speak louder in case the other didn't hear, or simply the way he was always there. waiting. making sure everything was going alright.

04 ⠀ the intensity of his emotions - there was something so magical about the way giyuu felt things so much stronger than everyone else. and while that did mean he felt sadness, anger, and loss so many times more than everyone else did, there was a sort of spark in that smile blossoming on his face, the small moments of relief, and the brimming love.

05 ⠀ his eyes - on the outside, giyuu's eyes are dull, lightless, and cold. but if you were to look hard enough, or if you just knew him well, you would be able to tell apart the emotions dancing through those eyes. the deep resentment unceasingly present, the fleeting moments of happiness, the anger, the sadness, the hurt, the love. plus, they are just mesmerizing -- blue like the ocean, blue like the skies, blue like the bluebirds flying above, blue like the forget-me-nots scattered around the gardens.
