I’ve been working on Alexis’s human form over the past week, and got into such a fight with making her rose tattoos look right, BUT now I’m super pleased with how they’ve turned out and want to show them off :’D

I nearly lost her art at one point, as the file corrupted and wouldn’t open, but I managed to find a back up, and only lost the lines to one outfit so was able to pick up close to where I left off.

I’ve got the majority of her outfits completed, so I’ll try and get a ref put together soon! I plan on starting Marie next, but we’ll see how the week goes, as there’s a situation with my Great-Uncle which is a little concerning atm...

I have a headache kicking my ass and I’ve still not packed for the holiday tomorrow, but at least I’ve finished the gilding on this guy.

still need to line his wings, finish up colouring, and do a couple of colour variations

apparently its time to work on Taranis, my Storm Astral (she/her)

The lovely @bolthound designed me a few seasonal dragons, but when I saw the summer version I just knew I had to make them Taranis cause holy shit it was perfect!!

decided to go with a Royal Gryphon for her species, cause I wanted to show a non-dragon royal for a while, and she’s also an example of how not all royals are rulers!

good morning I thought of something else for the amonstrife horoscopes

Amonstrife has ten months with ten days a week. The months are names after the elements, AND SO ARE THE DAYS. 

this means you could be moon aligned, with water element, on water month, on water day, AND IT WOULD BE A VERY GOOD DAY FOR YOU. on the flip side, you could be sun aligned and fire element on water month and water day aND IT WOULDN’T BE GOOD FOR YOU.

so basically the person writing this each day would be taking into consideration the alignment, element, month, day and probably some other stuff too like planets season and stars. and then write out their predictions for that.

so obviously I now really want a character who does this for a living

Just got back from a nice meal and pub quiz but I want to note this down before I go to bed

Amonstrife has horoscopes/star signs that are obviously different to ours. Made of two parts it's based on your pupil shape (Sun, Moon, and Star god aligned) combined with your element/ability! These combinations are more """accurate""" then either stand alone.

So Jamin (since he's the first off the top of my head with only one element) is Sun pupil and Fire Element.

Sun is power and ambition based, while fire is passion, hot headedness, aggression, and determination. This can be quite a volatile combination, so any newspaper horoscopes would be all about determinedly getting your targets and goals sucsessfuly, or about your hot headedness pushing people away but having your passion with your partner!

It gets a little more complicated when the person has multiple elements like Alexis, but usual you'd end up reading both combinations to get an idea of what to expect.

There's also the factor of the none element abilities, in which case you go for the section your ability falls under, which is Sun, Moon, Star, and illegal.

So tomorrow I might type up a couple of examples just cause it's a fun thing to do!!
