I’m glad you asked!I had a plan to write a small oneshot for halloween but never got around to it and the ideas I wanted weren’t flowing so I’ll just put them down below and I hope you’re good too lovely!
I guess this is a headcanon:
The girls loved helping mama decorate for Halloween, both inside and outside the house.
They always watch the nightmare before christmas with mama and Luke, snuggled up in their pajamas. It’s a continuous gag that Lily started by saying how Luke is like Jack (”You have long arms and legs like him dada!”) so he always sings along to the parts that Jack has, the girls smiling and clapping along
As for costumes, they both dressed up as little ballerinas while luke was Gru and mama was Lucy (Petunia had on a tutu so she’d be the third ballerina as well)
Calum, Ashton, and Michael accompanied the family while trick or treating. Calum dressed as Woody, Ashton was Buzz Lightyear and Michael went as Lots-huggin-bear (he just had to put on a purple onesie cause it’s easy lol) and they trekked through the suburb
At one particular house, Lily was hesitant to go because it had a lot of dark looking decorations with flickering lights to resemble lightning and scary music echoed across the yard.
Posy, our little adventurer even at the age of 1, started up the sidewalk but Ashton caught her in his arms so she wouldn’t go alone and turned to Lily
“Don’t you want to go to this one, Lils?” he’d ask and she’d shake her head quickly, eyes wide in fright.
“What if I went with you?” Calum asked kneeling next to her. She said a very quiet ‘okay’ and held his hand while they walked up the winding walk. Lily was apprehensive, squeezing Calum’s hand as hard as she could while Ashton pointed out spiders and bats hanging from the trees to Posy. She thought they were toys and tried to grab at each one.
Ashton pushed the doorbell which sounded like an evil witch and Lily clung to Calum’s pant leg. The door opens and the person was wearing a very scary mask, Lily screams and starts crying then books it from the door screaming for mama and Luke.
Upon hearing her cries, Luke sprang into action first making his way towards Lily. He was nervous she was going to fall down she was running so fast. Tears were streaming down her cheeks mixing with the glitter makeup. He crouches down and she barrels into his arms, clinging to his neck for dear life.
“What’s wrong, my sweet?” he stands and moves to mama and Michael who have concern in their eyes.
“Too scary,” she blubbers. Luke and mama rub her back while he hushes her, she’s hiccupping now.
“It’s all pretend, honey,” mama says.
“I’m sorry, she slipped out of my hand so fast--” Calum says when they come back from the house. Posy is pointing to Lily.
“It’s all right,” Luke shakes his head, “let’s go to the next house.”
Sensing she wouldn’t want to go to this one either, it was all dark red with more scary music, Luke hung back with Lily, her cheek resting on his shoulder.
“You want to know something?” he asks kissing her cheek, “it was very brave of you to run away by yourself.”
After trick or treating, they all head back to Luke and mama’s house to sort through the candy and watch more halloween movies. The girls get a bath and get tucked into bed with kisses from everyone
As for Christmas...I have something planned but they are very excited :)
