you've known this for a while, but it's never been more apparent than right now, with him sprawled on his bed, that infuriatingly cocky smirk plastered across his stupidly handsome face.
"come on," he says, voice dripping with condescension as he leans back against the headboard. "you really think you could take control? during a makeout?"
he laughs like the idea is absurd. "pips, you're way too soft for that. too sweet."
his eyes gleam with challenge, that teasing glint that's always gotten under your skin. he's so sure of himself, so convinced that he's the one who calls the shots. always has been. the way he towers over you, the way he pins you down, the way he makes you whimper his name. he thinks that's just how it is. how it'll always be.
"i dare you," he continues, leaning forward now, close enough that you can smell his cologne. "try to control me. i bet you couldn't even if you wanted to."
something snaps inside you.
"bet," you say simply.
his smirk widens. "yeah?"
"yeah."
before he can say anything else, you're on him. your lips crash against his, and for a moment, he responds eagerly, his hands coming up to grip your waist like he always does. but then you bite his lower lip.. hard enough to make him gasp and you pull back just slightly, your hand sliding up to grip his jaw.
"ground rules," you murmur against his mouth. "you don't touch me unless i say so. you don't cum unless i let you. and you definitely don't talk back. got it?"
his eyes widen slightly, surprise flickering across his features before that cocky mask slides back into place. "sure, whatever you say."
"good boy," you purr, and you feel him shudder beneath you.
♡ -
thirty minutes later, caleb is absolutely falling apart.
his cock is an angry, desperate red in your hand, the tip leaking steadily as you pump him with slow, deliberate strokes. your fresh manicure, pretty pink nails that you'd gotten done just yesterday it looks absolutely sinful wrapped around his length, and you can't help but admire the view as you work him over.
"please," he gasps, his voice cracking. "please, i can't- fuck, i need..”
"shh," you coo, tightening your grip at the base of his cock, holding him firmly as you lean down and drag your tongue along the underside of his shaft. slowly. agonisinglyy slowly. from base to tip, savoring the way he jerks and writhes beneath you.
"oh god," he moans, his hands fisting in the sheets. you'd told him not to touch you, and to his praise, he's obeyed. but it's clearly killing him. his knuckles are white, his whole body trembling with the effort of holding back.
you've been at this for half an hour now, and you haven't let him cum once. every time he gets closeand you can tell, from the way his breathing hitches, the way his thighs tense, the way his cock pulses in your hand. you stop and squeeze the base firmly, denying him that release, and then you start all over again.
his cock is so sensitive now, so irritated from your relentless teasing, that even the lightest touch makes him gasp. the head is flushed dark, almost purple, and there's a steady stream of precum leaking from the tip that you lap up with kitten licks, humming appreciatively at the taste.
"you're so mean," he whimpers, and there are actual tears gathering in his eyes now. "please, please let me cum. i'll do anything. anything."
you pull back, releasing his cock entirely, and he lets out a desperate, broken sound that goes straight between your legs. his hips buck up uselessly, seeking friction that isn't there, and you can't help but smile.
"anything?" you ask, tilting your head. "that's a big promise, caleb."
"i mean it," he sobs. "please. i need it so bad. it hurts."
you lean down again, your breath ghosting over his sensitive flesh, and he jerks violently, a strangled moan tearing from his throat. you haven't even touched him yet, and he's already losing it.
"remember what you said earlier?" you murmur, pressing a feather-light kiss to the tip of his cock. he shudders, his whole body going tense. "about how i was too pussy to control you?"
another kiss, this one to the side of his shaft. his legs are shaking now, trembling uncontrollably.
"i- i didn't- fuck, please-“
you pull back, looking up at him with wide, innocent eyes, your lips forming a perfect pout. "am i still too pussy to control you, caleb?"
the tears spill over then, tracking down his flushed cheeks as he shakes his head frantically. "no. no, you're not. you're.. god, you're so good at this. so good. please."
his voice breaks on the last word, and you feel a surge of satisfaction so intense it's almost dizzying. this is caleb cocky, arrogant, always-in-control caleb. reduced to a sobbing, begging mess beneath you. all because of you.
you decide to have mercy on him. just a little.
"do you want it?" you ask softly, your hand hovering just above his cock. "do you want to cum, pipsqueak?”
"yes!" the word bursts out of him like a prayer. "yes, yes, yes, please. please let me cum. i need it. i need you. please."
he's sobbing openly now, his chest heaving with desperate breaths, and every time you so much as move your hand closer, his body jerks involuntarily. he's so wound up, so desperate, that you know it won't take much.
"okay," you whisper, and before he can process the word, you're on him.
your mouth engulfs his cock, taking him deep, and the sound he makes is so sweet it’s almost inhuman. your tongue works along his length as you bob your head, sucking hard, and his hips buck up involuntarily, driving himself deeper into your throat. you let him, relaxing your jaw, taking everything he has to give.
"oh fuck, oh fuck, oh-" his words dissolve into incoherent moans as you increase your pace, your hand pumping what your mouth can't reach. his legs jerk up, his thighs clamping around your head, and you know he's right there, right on the edge-
you pull back.
not completely, just enough that your lips are barely brushing the tip of his cock, and that's all it takes. caleb lets out a broken, desperate groan as he loses control completely, his cock pulsing as he cums hard, thick ropes of white painting his chest and stomach. it goes on and on, his whole body convulsing with the force of his orgasm, and you watch with satisfaction as he falls apart.
when he finally stops, he collapses back against the bed, his chest heaving, his eyes glazed and unfocused. there are still tear tracks on his cheeks, and his cock gives one last weak twitch before going soft.
you crawl up his body, careful not to smear the mess on his chest, and lean down to whisper in his ear.
"what a loser."
he lets out a weak, breathless laugh, and you grin, pressing a kiss to his temple.

"What do you think our wedding will be like?" She asks, and Rafayel feels his heart still immediately. He gives it a second, letting the two opposing sides of his heart battle it out.
A part of him feels giddy - she wants to be his bride again. It will happen again, because they are fated mates! All of the worrying was for nothing because look - she wants to get married, bonded to him again! Sure, the "sanctity" of marriage amongst humans on this earth is laughable and ludicrous compared to the solemn oath he literally has embedded on his chest... but he'll take it nonetheless. He'll take anything she has to offer, honestly.
Albeit, the other part of him wants to sulk and throw a tantrum. Because this question is simply yet another reminder of what was left forgotten. The fact that she had already been his bride, but that fact to be so horridly and devastatingly taken away from him. Ripped away from his clutching fingers. Sea of God he may be, but the strength of fate has no competition. What a painful reminder that question is, to be reminded that... Oh yeah you were my bride... until?..
Rafayel doesn't realise that dancing between the two emotions has taken some time. Purple eyes swirling with mixed emotions as his lips pursed to the side in silence. This reaction causes her to shift nervously, afraid that she's made him uncomfortable with the question.
She clears her throat soon after, sitting up after spending hours on the couch with him, slouching against the backrest as his purple hair splays out against her chest. The movement shakes him out of his trance, a brief moment of confusion (and a dramatic look of "how could you!”) plastered on his face as he turns around, sitting up for the first time in 2 hours as well. He faces his blushing partner who is clearly flustered at his lack of response.
"Um.. I mean - I'm not saying we will definitely get married or like whatever, it was just a question! I don't even know if you wanna marry me. again, it was just a question, you don't have to answer it if you-"
He gasps dramatically, brows furrowed deeply as he scoots away from her in bewilderment. "Did you say you don't even know if I want to marry you?" He scoffs, standing up and begins to pace around the room. "Is my devotion - and quite frankly - obvious and constant yearning for you not enough? For you to even question that?"
"Rafayel, I-" "Maybe the hunter's association should put you on bed rest if your brain's not functioning properly. Oh perhaps, it's not the brain, it's your heart and its inability to feel the love I have for you. Is that right, hm?"
"Rafayel," she repeats louder this time, sighing. "That was not what i meant - I just.. You went completely silent on me when I asked the question, so I thought you felt uncomfortable with the topic of marriage." shrugging, the red on her cheeks deepens as a replay of the scene comes to mind. she shrivels into herself, crossing her legs as she begins to play with the loose threads of her sweater. "And I know we’ve never talked about it either, so I shouldn't have just sprung it on you like that."
His face softens immediately, guilt pricking his chest as he watches the vulnerability she was expressing. While she isn't exactly wrong - the topic of marriage does make him uncomfortable. As much as he wants her to be his bride, it’ll undoubtedly open new doors for pain all over again. But as uncomfortable it is, Rafayel knows that she is someone he'd carve his own heart out for (well....).
"You have nothing to apologise for.," He reassures her gently, the tone contrasting the loud rant he performed earlier, and he's back on the couch, crawling onto the space next to her. His fingers are careful, he reminds himself he's holding onto his reason of being, his kryptonite, the atoms of sunlight itself. He feels his stomach flip, and the soft warmth that begins to exude from the side of his chest tells him that if she peeked underneath his shirt, she'd bear witness to the physical embodiment of his sacred vow. "It threw me off guard, yes. But only because i've been keeping it myself for far too long, cutie," he smiles, still ever so gentle as his thumb caresses the smooth of her cheek.
"I’ve known that i have wanted to marry you for years now," and while she'll take that as a mere dramatisation (Rafayel being Rafayel), he means that as literally as it gets. Only he is well versed with the pain, humiliation and fear that comes with the wait and longing, and for a moment, he's almost grateful that she doesn't know. He doesn't want her to be burdened with such hardship-filled emotions, so he'll carry it for the both of them.
"You won't be in white - maybe a light shade of blue. I'll obviously wear the best suit ever to be worn. We'll have a ceremony by the beach," he's speaking straight from the vision he's replayed in his mind countless of times, the smile on his face unconsciously growing as he mindlessly twirls a piece of her hair. "You'll have your hair down, and it'll probably get caught in the sea breeze - but it just makes sense to me."
"and," he pauses for a moment, hesitating before he continues. "We'll say our vows twice. One for everyone to bear witness to, and one just for you and me." A vow so sacred and intimate, Rafayel refuses to share with the world. He refuses to taint it even a little bit, it should simply be meant only for his lover and him, and his pure everlasting love for her.
"Oh," he has rendered her speechless, and now it's Rafayel's turn to be nervous, fearing he has made her uncomfortable. Hiding the embarrassment behind a scoff, he pulls away with a pout. "Y-You were the one who brought it up first!" Immediately, she shakes her head and pulls him back into her chest and Rafayel doesn't fight his body when it relaxes immediately. "I was just a little surprised, Raf - in a good way. Didn't think you would've had all these little details in mind already." Her voice mirrors his previously gentle one, and Rafayel feels his eyes flutter shut, coaxed by her fingers running through his hair.
She hesitates, but braves herself to say it. time and again, once peeling off his layers, she's beared witness to his endless courage so why not walk in his footsteps? "I do hope we get married." Her voice is quieter, but it speaks volumes to him. He feels a lump form in his throat at the emotions that begin to overflow within him. He reaches out to catch onto her hand that's combing through his hair and brings it to his chest in attempts to quell the tears that threaten to form behind his closed lids.
Shakily, his lips whisper against her knuckles, "In my mind, we already are."
In his world, they already were. How lucky is he to get married to her, again and again, and again.
Ghost Caleb . Who started as your imaginary friend since childhood. Someone who you could talk to as a lonely child. You're too shy to make friends and mostly isolated yourself from the other kids, preferring to enjoy your own company. You could tell him anything at all and play pretend with him all the time. He was always happy to go along with your plans. He was always fun to be with. Always finding new ways to make everyday an adventure or at least interesting for you.
Ghost Caleb. Who was always by your side and let you cuddle with him and give you hugs when you needed it. He would bring you snacks and always made sure you were fed and rested well. Where did he get them?. It was his little secret. He also helped you with your homework when you needed help. Teaching you things you didn't understand and ruffling your hair as he complimented or praised your intelligence and encouraged you. He was like an older brother you never had. A little annoying but nonetheless endearing.
Ghost Caleb. Who made much of your childhood fun as he could and protected you. Taking care of you when your parents or care takers neglected you. He got mad at them when they lashed out at you during their bad days or were harsh to you. Using his ghostly powers to move or break things to startle or scare them back. Your parents couldn't see him or hear him and that's exactly why they should be scared of him.
Ghost Caleb. Who liked to read with you and sing lullabies to you and hold you close when you couldn't sleep or had a nightmare. He would whisper sweet nothings into your ear and gently stroke your hair and tuck you back in bed , staying with you as you held onto him with your little hands till you fell asleep.
Ghost Caleb. Who was always protective of you. Scolded you when you carelessly got yourself hurt but would help you afterwards, sticking bandages to your wounds as you sniffled or cried, sulked or even if you stubbornly said you were fine. He always took care of you when were sick or hurt. He couldn't let you be on your own when you were so clumsy.
Ghost Caleb. Who went to teach a few middle school kids a lesson for daring to bully his little pipsqueak. Only he got to tease you. How dare they make you cry and feel bad about yourself?. The next week, you arrived at school, feeling dread only to find that said kids were avoiding you and keeping a distance and couldn't even make eye contact with you. Hell, two of them even apologized to you later. You still could never figure out why. Well, at least they left you alone.
Ghost Caleb. Who you took as your imaginary friend began to feel a little neglected, lonely and possessive when he noticed you began to hang out with other kids more and even bringing them home for sleepovers. You went to their house to hangout and you called them your best friend. Wasn't he enough?. Why would you need those boring kids for? . He thought he was your best friend. He always made sure to follow you and your little new friends from a distance. Just to make sure you were okay and that you were actually having fun. He couldn't help but feel the slight ache in his chest when he sees that warm smile of yours that only shared with him.
Ghost Caleb. Who tried to get your attention and ask you to hangout with him whenever you were on your phone too much or were watching too much TV. "You're gonna get brain rot from being on that phone too much, pipsqueak. Come on... There's something I want to show you outside " he said when he snatched your phone away. You'd protest but follow him anyway. Sometimes you did have more fun with him than playing those video games all day. But don't tell him that or his ego would pop.
Ghost Caleb. Who noticed how fast you were growing. Feeling like a proud parent and older sibling. He also noticed that you having some problems seeing him or hearing him when he tried to get your attention. You spent more time with your friends, on the phone, doing other things that you liked. Did you not want to hangout with him anymore?. Were you ignoring him now that you didn't need him ? Or did he upset you about something ?. He didn't know but he couldn't help but still stay by your side as usual.
Ghost Caleb, whose heart shattered when he one day realized that you couldn't see him or hear him anymore for some reason. Was it because you were growing up?. Was it because his purpose for you had been served?. You only talked about him in passing when you mentioned having an imaginary friend as a kid but you couldn't recall much about how he looked like. Just a blurry face in your mind, you said.
Ghost Caleb, who went back being what he was before. Nothing but a ghost. A lost soul. Unheard, unseen and untouchable. The world changing and passing him by while he was stuck. Stuck in the same realm of ever unchanging, unseen realm. He still stayed by your side. He couldn't help it. It was all he could do as he watched you grow up and forget him. Shoved away, like the drawings you drew of both of you in the attic.
The lad boys as ghosts would be interesting. So far, I haven't seen ffs on it. Had the idea so I wrote it. Wanna write for the others too. Do I do part 2 for this?. My dead writing soul has awoken from the abyss cuz of this new fandom. Lol.

first daylight was easy on his eyes. it neither burned nor discomforted him and was his first beacon of acceptance into this world. it was warm, and the grass he laid on was soft.
as he sat up, he quickly learned it was not just the bedded grass and the inviting light that was welcoming him, but an entire field of fauna. it was flourishing under his gaze, the colors all so much but never too much.
the critters around seemed just as curious about him as he was about them. they frolicked about for a few moments before keening in their interest onto the new animal that had surfaced in this garden.
that new animal being man.
the man rose to his feet from the floor and took a few cautious steps forward. he wasn’t sure why he wasn’t on all fours or flying like the critters around him were, but something about this movement felt right. this was his body, and it was already telling him things his mind couldn’t be sure of.
he was coated in neither fur or feathers and was nowhere near a small size like “everyone” else. he was tall, fully built of skin and flesh, with the only fur on him being the silky silver strands on his head and on his groin.
his first steps from his bed of greenery were unsure but his legs clearly wanted to move. the trees surrounding him made it difficult to see past, but it only served to make the man more curious about this world he had stepped into.
he moved through the small clearing up ahead and dodged through more trees and bushes before stumbling into more fauna. it was more of the same but somehow even more beautiful than what he woke up to. everything was a shade and hue of a certain something he couldn’t name.
man experiences color.
one flower was starkly different to another, both in size and in color, creating a warmth within his chest. there was so much to appreciate and appreciate he would. blessed he was with such a beautiful experience of life, something he wouldn’t understand until later.
his hands grazed the pathway of flowers, feeling each soft petal kiss his fingertips until he reached the end of the colourful road. it was here when something completely different but equally as beautiful greeted as the flowers greeted him. it seemed like another road, but.. not exactly. the rushing sound of it made soft crinkly sounds. the surface of it shimmered in the sunlight. it was clear and inviting despite its foreignness.
man experiences water.
with only slight apprehension, he steps to the edge of the water and dips his hand into it. it wasn’t soft like the flowers but… cool. it made his skin feel different but it was somewhat pleasant. he was quick to appreciate the stark difference between the water and the sun. both equal in beauty but different in composition.
man experiences contrast.
call it habitual, but his heart immediately sought to find another new experience in this unending, forested domain. he would come back to these things later, right now his body was being called elsewhere. now, with confidence, he walks away from the river and cuts through the main pathway.
in these long strides, man experiences various parts of the garden.
man experiences bushes and twigs, dirt and mud. man experiences fallen berries and the critters that eat them. man experiences the sweet sounds of the other living animals; chirps and scuffles. so much to intake at once and yet man does not experience being overwhelmed or scared, even with the unexpected meeting him at every corner.
life was blissful, and being blissful felt as natural as living life.
and yet, as one day turned into several days and several days turned into weeks, the man felt slightly misplaced.
he knew nothing of sadness, but he did know a bit of confusion.
all these critters, alive and thriving in with their kins, intrigued the man. it was beautiful to see them with their familiars, and yet, he wondered if he was anything like them. a bigger, more eager version of whatever they were. it was hard to say. did they have conversations inside their heads like he did? did they have the same curiosity to explore like he did? did they experience gratitude and love like had?
but the man was blissfully ignorant to what those emotions truly even felt like. at least, not yet.
a warm day like any other, flourished with endless possibilities, called to him. he enjoyed the darkness as much as he did the light, but it was only in daytime when he went out of his way to explore. he loved picking berries off the bushes and ground to try them. some of them tasted similar while others completely different, and it was a fun guessing game for him every time.
his designated berry bushes weren’t far from where he slumbered. with the guiding aid of the flowers, he always found his way back to the berries, ready to fill his stomach with sweetness. except, today his curiosity for his food vanished, and was instead directed to something that looked even sweeter.
perched and laying her on hip by the bushes was you, curiously poking and picking the fruits with a very familiar look of curiosity. immediately, the man’s breath is taken away.
it was him… but it wasn’t.
it was a form, hairless except for the head and groin, taller than the other animals, and with movements so similar to his. you smiled and looked around like he did, a similar gratitude to his as well.
it wasn’t just curiosity that rushed over him, but an intense, abiding affection, stronger than any he’s felt for the animals or flowers. your look, your body, your mannerisms, it immediately effected him. a pang in his body was drawing him to you, and once you noticed his presence, that feeling only amplified.
your eyes were wide and mirrored his. abiding affection was too simple.
man and woman experiences love.
“hello,” he whispers.
“hello,” you whisper back.
unable to communicate with anyone else, this was the first time both of you were using your voices and your words.
the man inches closer to you until he was right across from you around the bush. it takes him a moment but he smiles, star struck by you.
“you look… beautiful, like the flowers around here. have you seen them?” he asks rather eagerly. no shame or awkwardness plagued him, as they simply didn’t exist.
“flowers?” you repeat, looking around you.
“yeah… the flowers,” he points to a row across from the two of you, pink peonies growing from there, “that’s what i call them.”
“why?”
“i don’t know, i liked it.”
you tilt your head and blush slightly. he made you feel funny, a tingly sensation in your stomach that’s never been elicited. “do you call things weird names if you like them?” you ask with a gentle smile.
the man laughs and then shrugs. “i… don’t know. what’s a name?”
“i don’t know either, i just said it.”
both of you glance away and chuckle. everything about this felt right. words came out naturally and unexpectedly. language was already a given in this garden, but only your two mouths could speak it. it was about exploration, about discovery.
“well, i like you, may i call you something?” you ask shyly.
xavier’s pupils dilated slightly, he feels a sweet ache rush over him. “yes, yes,” he urges.
he sees you give a few moments of playful thought before gasping. “ahh… xavier! yes, xavier!”
“xavier?” he repeats, the smile on his face growing. he tries out the name a few more times on his lips before nodding. “xavier… it’s beautiful. i want to give you a beautiful name too, can i?”
you nod eagerly and inch a little closer to him. neither of you really noticed but your forms were getting closer and closer by the minute. “yes, i’d like that.”
xavier thinks for a few moments like you did and then leans in closer to whisper your name, like it was a gentle secret. you giggle softly at him and mimic his nod. “yes, i love it. i love it!”
xavier lights up almost immediately at your reaction. “you love it? i love it too. it’s something reserved for you.”
watching you giggle and smile triggered an indescribable feeling within xavier. all the beauty he’s seen in these last few weeks could not amount to even a fraction of what you looked like to him. you were the best place curiosity had taken him.
he scoots even closer until your legs were touching. he looks over your body and studies the various parts of you. you had longer hair, a smaller frame, a more curved figure, and well.. so much more. he couldn’t stop staring. gently, he reaches to touch your stomach and then glances up at your to gauge your reaction.
“do you experience a weird sensation here? once i eat the berries, it goes away,” xavier asks softly.
“hunger.”
he smiles, “hunger. have the berries, they’re the colorful things on the bush.” he reaches out to collect a few fallen berries and holds it up to your lips. when you bite into one and hum in satisfaction, he almost loses himself. he made the same noise too. it was almost like you were made for him. “does it taste good?”
you nod, licking the berry juice off your lips and take another one to eat. “yes, really good. may i have more?”
xavier nods quickly and begins rapidly picking off the berries from the bush to give to you. not only did he feel a strong urge of affection, but a similarly strong desire to take care of you, to make you feel good. “have more, have it all,” he insists, “if you like it then it’s yours.”
you blink at the pile of berries in front of you but think nothing of it. one berry after another, you eat until your hearts content and you could no longer continue. xavier watches you throughout, enthralled at how you seemed to enjoy every single berry with a unique love.
“ah… i can’t have anymore,” you pat your stomach with a playful frown.
xavier glances to your midsection and reaches to touch it once more. he rubs your stomach gently, causing you to laugh a little. “you’re easy on my eyes,” he whispers. “i enjoy touching you. you feel like me.”
his words prompted you a new curiosity. carefully, you begin to stroke his leg with the same reverence he had for you. “i like touching you too. i haven’t seen anything like you… like me. where did you come from?”
xavier shakes his head. “i just… was. the first thing i saw were the flowers and the sun.” he notice your confused expression, the points to the sky. “sun.”
“sun,” you repeat. “it was the same for me. i saw tbe flowers and the sun, then i left and followed the animals that move around.”
xavier smiles, already knowing what you were referring to. “animals,” he whispers.
“then i saw the river. have you seen the river? it is blue water,” you chirp.
“oh… and is it quite long? i have seen it, but i only drink from it. is there something else we do with it?” xavier asks tentatively.
you sit up and nod before standing to full height. it was then that xavier realized he hadn’t actually seen you on your feet, and looking up your body to your face was a view he very much enjoyed.
he stood alongside with you and was now looking down on your shorter form. his heart almost gave out. like it was the most natural thing ever, he couldn’t help but put his lips to your forehead in an affectionate gesture. he wasn’t entirely sure why, but every part of his body and mind knew it was right. you were definitely made for him.
“can you show me the river, then?” xavier whispers with his forehead rested against yours.
your eyes flutter up to meet his. an unknown desire flickered in you. you nod. “yes, follow me please.”
xavier watches you step back and scurry off down the path and he quickly makes after you. he’s never moved this fast before but it felt exhilarating to have the cool hit air his face. he watched your backside as you ran, hair waving in the wind as you did so.
every bit of you he enjoyed, every single bit.
you ran and ran, happily being chased by him, until you started to recognize the familiar crinkles of the river. you slow your pace until a complete stop and gesture for xavier to catch up. truthfully, he could’ve ran faster, but he was enthralled by watching you.
you point the water, “you’ve seen this, yes? a river. i drink from it too sometimes but i mostly only look at myself.”
xavier glances between you and the river. “look at yourself?” he repeats, curious.
you nod and gesture for him to follow you. at the edge of the water you peek over it and see your warped face on the river surface. for a few moments you could make out a perfect reflection but the ripples made those moments scarce. “myself,” you point, “i know that’s me because that’s my hair. that’s me right?”
xavier looks between the reflection and you, “it is… but it is not,” he murmurs. “the river distorts your beauty. your looks are much more… cohesive.”
“really? let me see your reflection then.”
xavier and you both look down at the water and stare at the ripples reflection of his face. he was right, it did no justice to his true beauty.
and xavier, for the first time, was seeing himself. shimmering blue eyes staring back at him and shaggy but silky silver hair gently covering his eyes. he wasn’t sure what to think, but he was curious as to what you thought.
“what do you think of me?” he almost whispers, now looking away from his reflection entirely and onto you.
“i think…” you smile, “i think your looks are incomparable. i prefer the face i see in front of my rather than in the water.”
xavier grins warmly. he was quickly learning your praise meant everything and the sun to him. “you know,” he mumbles, “i’ve figured that the beautiful flowers we enjoy needed this water to survive. i’ve been mending them alone for a while, but… i want to share that experience with you as well.” he steps closer, hands cupping your waist gently and pulling you fractionally closer to him. “would you like to nurture with me, darling?”
you glance up, eyes narrowing to his. the gentle blue beauty of his irises washed over you. “that’s not the name you gave me,” you whisper, “but yes, i would.”
xavier chuckles. “i know, but i give the small animals in the garden cute names, so i figured you deserved one too.”
“am i small?”
“you’re smaller than me, it makes you cute.”
“what’s cute?”
“what you are.”

his hands were over yours, helping you gently pat down the soil that was covering a small apple seed. you two had been gardening for a few moon cycles, planting and treating any rouge fallen seeds. the progress was slowly showing and determination seemed to be rewarding.
you wipe the sweat off your brows and smile proudly at xavier. “that’s twenty-nine today!” you cheer.
xavier flashes you a toothy grin and nods. “yes, we’ve done a great job. our personal garden will be flourishing and rich in no time, all thanks to my beauty.” he wraps his arms around your waist from the back and holds you close to his skin. “thank you,” he whispers by your ear, “for being so wonderful.”
he feels you relax in his arms and lay back against him. you tilt your head up to meet his. “i could say the same. thank you, xavier.”
a healing silence simmers as the two of you gaze into each other’s eyes. xavier was gently stroking your stomach while you were idly playing with his knee.
“hey,” xavier mumurs, “you have some soil on you. shall we head to the river to clean you off?”
you glance down at your body. a few specks of dirt were stuck to your breasts and thighs from kneeling over so much. “can we plant one more?” you ask hopefully.
“we can’t,” xavier responds.
“why not?”
“because we haven’t thought of a number after twenty-nine.” he stands up and helps you to your feet. gently, he dusts your thighs. “we can ponder after we clean ourselves, my beauty. is that alright?”
you appreciated xavier’s thoughtfulness, so you nod. “yes, please.”
you always knew how to get to the river fastest, as it was one of your favorite spots in the garden, so xavier let you lead. your happy skips and gentle humming guided him every time, and he was happy to follow.
you were a sight for his eyes. every single time, without fail, xavier preferred watching you over the scenery around him. he would keep his eyes on your hair, your back, your curves, your happy expressions whenever you glanced back. every day his affection for you became more and more absolute, undeniably.
approaching the river, xavier watches you dip into the river completely and then emerge back up with wet hair and a wide grin. “the water is nice today, much warmer than a fortnight ago. won’t you come in?”
xavier sits at the edge, tilting his head with a warm smile on his face. “i am content watching you. would you like me to join you?”
you nod eagerly, gesturing for xavier to join you.
he wastes no time.
he steps into the water, slow and steady, getting used to the temperature as he goes down. once fully in, he walks toward you, a warm and inviting smile on his face. the image makes your chest flutter.
“you are right, the water is nice,” he murmurs with low-lidded eyes. “i’m glad i get to enjoy it with you.”
he closes in on your form, arms immediately going around your waist from behind and slotting your body perfectly against his.
proximity was never an issue between the two of you. it always felt right, felt natural to be with each other so closely. every embrace, every kiss, every shared mingling felt good. but it was only now that a special spark flickered within the both of you.
xavier’s hands squeezed your waist gently. he moved his hands further and further down to your hips and then back up to your waist. it was quiet with no words being exchanged, only knowing touches. you place your hands atop xavier’s and move them around your skin. he let out a small pleased noise as his hands cup the underside of your breasts.
“i’ve noticed things,” xavier murmurs by your ear, “about us. about our differences. about what they mean.”
“yeah?” you whisper breathlessly.
“mm, yeah. you’re like me, but you’re different. you have a beauty i could never possess.” xavier squeezes your breasts gently causing a surge of tingles through you. you arch into his touch slightly. “i suppose you could say i’ve had visions, but want to explore your body before i am certain of them.”
“my body is yours, as yours is mine, yes?” you ask while looking up at him.
“yes, of course.”
“so my body is yours to explore, xavier.”
xavier’s smile widens a little bit. you were so trusting because you had no reason not to trust him. and he the same.
he’d seen your body, your curves and capabilities in his visions. he’d sleep and feel an immense need for you, causing him to wake. he’d stare at you while you rested, he’d look over your body in reverence, he’d felt a new surge of something indescribable that could only be soothed with conversation between bodies.
man discovers desire.
xavier gives one more squeeze to your breast before heading directly down to your navel. he touches the pubic hair there gently and lowers his hand even more to right over your vagina.
“while you are shaped differently than i am, the main differences of our bodies are these wonderful areas. i’ve been so curious-my beauty, my darling-as to what i could discover about you here."
your breath hitches and a small shudder escapes you. his fingers were gentle and juvenile, not doing anything in particular other than grazing and touching your labia. but it was all so new that you couldn't help but feel a mixture of surprise and your own desire.
"i've thought the same," you mumble in a haze, "about discovering you. but i suppose the thought has escaped me over our time together. i've prioritized exploring everything but you, haven't i?"
xavier chuckles. he turns you around to face him and places a gentle kiss to your forehead. "we've both been curious, i see. but you are more precious to me than anything else i've seen in this garden, so i know my priorities now." he guides your hand to his groin and encourages you to touch him with a warm grin.
you follow suit, grinning back and gently playing with xavier's penis with your hand. he was warmer here than anywhere else.
eye contact is never broken as the mutual touching continues. your bodies get closer and closer until your chest was right up against his. a simmering, undeniable connection was forming. a love so powerful neither of you fully understood it yet.
"it feels nice," you whisper with your chin on his chest, "does it feel nice for you?"
"heaven's yes," xavier responds with a slightly gravely voice. "it feels wonderful, so wonderful. seeing you and touching you, my darling, invokes something powerful within me."
before you could ask what, xavier was already moving you to the edge of the water where land met the river. he sat you down and stood in-between your legs, hand going back to your vagina almost immediately. you're pliant and ready, giggling at the shared eagerness between you two.
"i see someone's happy," xavier teases.
"how can i not be?" you respond. "i've never seen you like this, my love. you remind me of the bunnies we see scurrying all the time. i can't help but be amused."
"bunnies?" xavier raises a brow. "ah, you mean the rabbits. i'm much like them? if anything you resemble them more with your big eyes and playfulness."
his fingers go lower, testing something with very careful touches.
"ah, xavier," you say his name breathlessly with tinted cheeks. the sound of you almost wiped him out. he's never heard your voice like that, all sweet and aroused. it stirs him so intensely it was almost scary.
"my darling," he whispers, "what are you feeling?"
you spread your legs a big wider, a silent invitation for more. “i’m feeling…. huh?” you abruptly stop.
“hm?”
you’re staring at xavier’s groin with wide eyes, interested. “it’s bigger,” you notice.
“it is bigger,” xavier teases, “it’s been doing that here and there, always feels good.” he moves his hand from your vagina down to his erection. gently he strokes himself, coaxing himself to grow bigger under your watchful eye. he glances up at you, low-lidded and needy eyes. “i think you know where this goes.”
“do i?” you giggle.
“mhm, yes you do,” xavier whispers. he closes in on you once more and lays you back on the damp grass. he leaves his erection nestled in-between your thighs and simply holds you for the moment. “i feel like… we’re about to do something extraordinary. i don’t know why i feel that way but the feeling is strong. do you understand?”
breathless, you nod. “i do, i feel the same way. in fact, i feel so many different things right now, all of them new and directed toward you. thank you, for giving me this new experience.”
xavier shakes his head, eyes full of adoration and reverence. “there’s no need to thank me, i’ve done nothing but love you, that’s the least you deserve my darling.”
gently, you wrap your arms around xavier’s neck and pull him down a bit closer. your lips graze each other’s momentarily, teasing, loving. you look into each others eyes, existence closing in on just each other and no other part of the garden you two grew to love.
“let’s make like the bunnies, shall we?” xavier exhales.
man and woman experience lovemaking.

being intimate became almost like a new hobby for the two of you. anywhere and anytime you two allowed for it, it would happen. before bed, right after waking up. during meals, while scavenging, with every moment being equally as passionate and fun as the last.
learning your body brought xavier an excitement he could get no where else. every dip and curve got his attention. the flare of your hips was enticing, the roundedness of your breasts were beautiful, the gentle look in your eye was soothing. you reminded him of the gardens, always blooming and growing with new beauty.
you had a special touch for everything it seemed.
“look, the strawberries are growing xavier,” you beam while picking the red berries off of the bush. “we just planted recently, didn’t we?”
“no, my love,” xavier responds. he holds two oranges in his hands and places them down next to you. “you planted them, i believe that’s why they’ve grown so quick.”
you turn your head to look at xavier and smile curiously, “what do you mean? you’re so silly.”
“i’m saying you’re made for this, my dearest. the crops seem to grow the fastest and healthiest when you tend to them, you outdo me.” xavier crouches to your level and takes a strawberry from your hands. he places it against your lips and encourages you to bite. “see, isn’t it nice and juicy? only you grow these.”
you smile and lick the juices off of your lips, “i can’t taste the difference, it tastes like normal strawberries.”
“is that a new color?” xavier asks.
“what is?”
“straw. we have our blueberries and blackberries, those are after the colors we gave them. is this color straw?”
“hm, no,” you ponder, “i just want to call them that. these are red.”
xavier laughs gently at your eccentricity. you were much more free spirited than he was, much more creative too. he picks up the oranges he placed down and holds them out for you. “these are new. they took a while longer to grow but i’ve decided to call the color, ‘orange’. maybe i can be funny like you and call the fruit a cute name,” he giggles.
“like what?” you ask mirthfully.
“like… orange,” xavier smiles proudly. “they are a color of orange but they are also an orange. isn’t that funny?”
you stifle a laugh, not at the name, but at xavier’s attempt at being funny. you nod very slightly in agreement. “yes… yes very funny,” you respond with a restrained voice.
xavier’s eyes soften, “i have a feeling it’s not that funny to you, but you still laugh. i’m keeping the name regardless.” he stands and helps you up from the ground. immediately he notices a difference in your look. “beautiful,” he whispers. “all these fruits we’ve been eating have made you fill out wonderfully, darling. i’d like to touch you.”
it took you a moment to understand his words but once you did you blushed. his hands were immediately on you, touching the fullness of your hips and stomach with tender squeezes. the both of you stand there in an embrace, glancing and giggling at each other.
“you always get distracted,” you murmur, “but i am no better.”
“i agree,” xavier laughs, “every time you see an animal i have to give up with your attention. that’s another thing, you are better with the animals than i am.”
you shake your head, “untrue, they adore you. the bunnies especially. have you seen? the white ones we knew have become differently colored. i’ve seen them be spotted with browns and blacks, its amazing.”
xavier releases his hold on your stomach and wraps his strong arms around your waist. in similar fashion, he’s grown more taunt over these many moon cycles. the muscle is more than welcomed by you. he was strong, attractive, and wonderfully healthy looking.
“it’s because they’re breeding,” xavier murmurs into your neck. “over the time we’ve grown to know them they’ve multiplied, haven’t they? creation is so beautiful, they’ve made more bunnies for us to play with.”
“ah, children,” you smile, “many of these animals have changed in the time we’ve been here. i suppose they’ve all found others to love and create with.”
xavier hums in agreement. he finally peels off of you and picks up the discarded oranges from the floor. he gives you a knowing and teasing look before walking down the path, leaving you to catch.
“xavier!” you laugh. you pick up the leftover strawberries before scurrying for him. “ah, what’s with the silence? that smile of yours tells me much.”
“what? it’s nothing of course,” he mumbles with a whimsical grin.
“it is!” you accuse in between laughs. “tell me, tell me what’s on your mind darling. i won’t stop until i find out.”
xavier bites his lip and holds in a few of his own giggles. he doesn’t respond but there was a shared idea between the two of you.
“say it!” you laugh while picking up speed, “say it!”
xavier doesn’t answer, he picks up speed too, easily beating your shorter frame. you’re both playing this teasing game with one another, quite literally chasing truths about your feelings.
“xavier!” you giggle-yell at him, “say it! say you want kids with me! say you want to create with me!”
immediately xavier stops his jog and throws the oranges to the side to pick you up. he brings you to the air and then embraces you, letting your legs lock around his waist as he face nuzzles into your neck.
“yes, yes, yes. yes, i want to have children with you, multiply like the rest of our garden does,” he admits with a heavenly exhale. “i’ve desired nothing more than to create life with you. would you like that too? for our love to grow on and on?”
you’re breathless but elated at the confession. the ache of love in your chest threatens to burst at xavier’s purity, you want nothing more than what he’s asking. “yes, of course. i’ve thought about it too, i want to have children with you.”
the radiance off of xavier’s smile was brighter than the sun’s. he knew you wanted it too, from the way you’ve been asking for more of his body as of late—but hearing you say it was a different thing. he spins you happily and then rests his head against your chest. “we shall think of a new word for ‘happy’, because whatever i am feeling right now surmounts that infinitely,” he whispers.
you don’t respond with words. xavier was right, language couldn’t do either of you justice right now. instead you lean down and take his lips into yours in a sweet, sweet kiss. love grows stronger more stronger between you two.
when you pull back you can’t help but stare at xavier and admire him. xavier on the hand was chattier than ever.
“our children would be perfection, absolute perfection. the way you would care for them, the way you would love them, it’s so profound isn’t it?” he gushes. “you… nurture, yes, nurture.”
“nurture?” you repeat, the word new on your tongue.
“yes. i’ve created a new word in your honor, darling. that’s your wondrous ability to grow life, to speak to nature, to create. nurturing, nurture.”
the word replays in your mind. a concept dedicated solely to you, created by the man who loves you most. you almost wanted to scream it out to the garden so every living thing there knew it.
you embrace xavier tighter. “a new word might not be enough. a new language is needed for how you make me feel,” you shudder atop his head.
xavier squeezed you once more and hoists you up higher. “i love you,” he whispers. and before you could respond in same, he’s alright moving you to a batch of grass to begin copulation.
it was a flurry of emotions and noises—kisses, sighs, giggles, moans. all before it could actually even begin. forehead to forehead, xavier almost penetrated into you once more, if it wasn’t for the distraction.
your attention was whisked away momentarily to the bush next to you. usually you wouldn’t dare take your eyes off of the man in front of you but there was something about this movement that demanded your attention. xavier follows your eyes and looks to the bush as well.
before he could dismiss it altogether and pry for you focus back, something appears out of the bush.
a snake, green and sliding around with beaded eyes, an animal unknown to the both of you. you’re wary and unsure of it, but equally curious. the snake slides up to you and it was only then you notice where you and xavier are at.
it was unrecognizable at first because neither of you expected it to grow this big, but those seeds you planted many moons ago had finally fully sprouted.
