I finished the book yesterday, and Gabriel is just SO much of everything and I love him. I loved that Fiona wasn't a virgin and it wasn't a gosh danged issue for him that turned into her feeling ashamed. And she was so capable and he respected her and let's be honest, respect makes my heart beat about 20000 miles a minute.
Ahhhhh Gabriel and Fiona forever and ever amen. And yes, precisely, he respects her and values her and listens to her as his equal if not in social rank, as a human being. He knows she’s smart and even though things didn’t go well with her in charge, he knows there’s a reason, he might not know the reason, but he knows there is one. And he trusts her, and she trusts him, it’s when they are together in body and mind, thinking and living together when things start to improve, when they find out what’s really going on in the house.
Oh get ready to know Marjorie and Graeme. She’s Gabriel’s sister, she wants to surprise her brother with a visit for his wedding (he tells her not to go because it’s wintertime and it could be hard for her but she goes anyway). Graeme’s little brothers kidnap her (there is a reason) and he doesn’t know anything until he finds her all tied up in his home… and it’s… his littlest brother is soooo cute.And she’s so brave and strong and independent and… mistaken… XD
I loved Graeme so much, but not as much as I did Gabriel though
