Since there was no good map of Labyrinthia from Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on the internet without UI or such things, so I decided to put one together from ripped pngs myself. It holds up surprisingly well, aside from the Storyteller's Tower not blending in with the Eldwitch Woods. I suppose there is supposed to be a coastline somewhere around there.
For fun I also made a version where I marked notable locations on the map.
I see, so when Bill’s old chum Arthur Cantabella wants to construct a fake medieval city and brainwash the inhabitants in order to help his daughter, the government will happily pay for it. But when I, Dimitri Allen, build a fake Future London and recruit some scientists in order to save Claire’s life, suddenly it’s against the law—
Oh, Labyrinthia’s inhabitants were all ‘volunteers’, you say? Yes, I’m sure all those young girls gladly signed up to be cast as witches and have absolutely no traumatic memories after being thrown into the fire! At least my FUTURE LONDON citizens had functioning toilets—
I am so, so late to posting this, but I got my contributor copy of the @labyrinthiazine about a week ago!! Waaaagh, everything turned out so good! I haven't read through it too much, but everyone's work is phenomenal!! 💛
I hope all of you who ordered the zine enjoy it as well!! 🧩
Labyrintha AU! Basically, Labyrinthia, the Storyteller, magic, and witches are all real in this AU and part of a larger fantasy setting inhabited by PL and AA characters. Read on for character bios.
Professor Layton has dedicated his life to studying and documenting one of the greatest puzzles of his world: magic. He is especially interested in the Lost Magic of ancient civilizations and how their long-forgotten relics continue to hold incredible power. Magic has become highly politicized under the Storyteller’s rule, but Layton maintains a neutral outlook, approaching the subject with an intellectual fascination. Certain circumstances soon force him to rethink his position.
Luke possesses a magic that is unknown in a world that largely associates the concept with witches. He has the ability to communicate with animals. His reputation has gained him the title of the ‘Oracle’, one whose predications are largely based off the intel gathered by his animal companions, though this is known to only a select few. Considered an anomaly by the Storyteller, Luke seeks to learn more about his powers as the Professor’s apprentice and study Grey Magic, which exists beyond the confines of the Story.
The prompt word was “shadow” and I really wanted to do some PLvAA fanart! I loved this game! The character designs and backgrounds were gorgeous. Really enjoyed the plot.
