Just finished reading @ladylore97’s Diamond and Spinel fic “Lost or Found” on AO3 and it is hands down my favorite Diamond and Spinel fic

I’m just going to say it’s characterized and written BEAUTIFULLY, and takes the time to develop Spinel’s relationship with each of the Diamonds, and the Pearls, and Steven, and you get to EXPERIENCE her growth throughout all of it as she heals from what she’s gone through. And like, I love how I could visualize all of this happening just because of how detailed it was. Also Chapter 4 (the chapter that focuses on Yellow and Spinel’s relationship specifically) made me cry lol

I’m writing about it because it’s very worth the read for Diamonds and Spinel fans (I KNOW there are a number of us out here) but also just SU fans in general and wanted to share that it exists. So YEAH

Yes! There are 4 musicals, actually! Thankfully, nothing do with the boy bands (yet lol).

1 and 2 are original stories. I think the first one’s alright- production value’s clearly lower than the rest though lol. The second one is reaper-centric and I thought it was really good. The third one is the musical version of the Jack the Ripper arc, and it’s my favorite- high production value, Grell’s actor really shines, and I think it does the arc a ton of justice.

I haven’t seen the fourth one yet, but it’s based on the circus arc and from what I’ve seen and heard, it’s definitely on par with the 3rd musical, if not better!

I don’t know if you’re looking at the manga or anime, but there are up and downsides to both. The newest anime season was awesome! And the manga’s also worth reading up until the latest 2 arcs (Green Witch and Blue Sect, the latter especially lol). I’m not going to sugarcoat my feelings on this issue- I’d feel guilty for not warning you beforehand not to have high expectations for where the manga’s headed lol.

Everything’s great until those last 2 arcs though!

Welp I finished the series to the latest update and wow, I love. :D I can see what you were saying about the last arc, not my favorite, but it's fine. I had already been spoiled about Agni dying, but the whole time I thought "OKAY GUYS, calm down, they're not ACTUALLY going to kill him." But then I got to the page where they found him and. Oh. Um. Yeah. That's pretty dead. XD

You’re fast, haha! Well, I’m glad you enjoyed the whole thing :) Sorry for spoiling the “surprise” for you, but yeah, unfortunately Agni is really dead. Latest arc is definitely “shaky” and I have 1001 reasons why I think Agni deserved a better death than what he got, but what’s done is done.

On the plus side, we can definitely look forward to Book of the Atlantic, the Campania movie!

P.S If you’re interested, I think copies of the Kuro musicals are on youtube.
