It does not matter the place, nor the hour, nor the circumstance – there is but one thing of which Kiyoka Kudou is certain: he will always be there when Miyo needs him. Even in the dead of night, when she cries out in her slumber, Kiyoka will rush to her side. To comfort. To protect. Over and over – for as long as he is able.
Through the veil of sleep which shrouds his Lady Miyo, there is something that disturbs her. Something that haunts her right beneath the surface. Though it is seemingly beyond his reach, Kiyoka can sense it. Remnants of abilities made themselves more known, and something... has shifted. And while uncovering the source of this shift remains a priority, comforting her in this moment rests at the forefront of his mind. He kneels beside her shikibuton, his hand gingerly moving to brush her hair away from her face. She's trembling.
"Miyo," Kiyoka calls out to her, hoping his voice pulls her from the wretched visions that seem to plague her sleep. His hand gently moves from her cheek to her arm, and he gives it a squeeze and a soft shake. He'll scoop her up before she rouses – so she wakes up, safe, in his arms. "I'm here, Miyo."
And when those eyes open – those soft eyes of hers that he has fallen so hard and so deeply for – he will whisper, "Is it another nightmare?" He will hold her closer. Tighter to his chest, as if to say: I am here, Miyo. I am not going anywhere. Not now, not ever.
