Dear boyfriend:

It's been how long since we've been together, exactly? Gods, it feels like forever. So much has happened since we've ended up as partners, and I have to say while some of it wasn't cleanly cut or even pleasant, the vast majority of it has been so far.

I'm not used to being alone, and when Fidget went off to live on her own, only choosing to visit, I have to admit, Ahrah as a blade wasn't perfect company. He was there, yes, but it didn't feel the same. I had been with Fidget since I was created, so you can imagine how well I took semi-solitude.

When you came along, you had quite a lot to say. A few good complaints that I'm still sorry about, honestly. I still blame myself for your arm. Manuel... that demonic sadist. Had I not let him near my home, things would've gone so much better for you.

Not to say you haven't made the best of it, right? That arm is quite interesting, and I still have yet to properly thank Lien-Da for giving you that. I still have yet to properly thank a lot of people, yet with everything going on, I've been way too distracted to do anything. I haven't seen Twila in over a month, Aryn. I wish, so hard, that I could change that.

But at least I have you. You give me the companionship I need. And I hope I give something back to you in return, I truly do. I know about most of your insecurities by now, seeing as though we've been living under the same roof for months upon months now, and while some of them I understand, others I just hope you can work through in due time. They aren't warranted. Not anymore, at least.

When you get this, I've more than likely finally arrived at my destination. Haley got me in contact with her father, and I needed to make the trip to see if I could get his support in our efforts. Keep holding down the fort with Ahrah, okay? I love you. I'll see you in a few weeks.
