Mano Amica • Amy & Ji Hye
The harsh winter evenings were the best for nighttime strolls, in Amy's opinion. They were usually filled with brilliant layers of white snow, and it made for such a pretty contrast with the scarlet dye that blood could color it. That was a sight that you couldn't quite get when in the spring or summer months. It was just plain to see red spattered against the array of greens, greys, and browns. Did that make Amy a true vicious product of those ancients who created her? Maybe, but she was a pretty one with certain likes and dislikes. Just like everyone else.
Her high-laced leather boots sunk a few inches with every step into the snowy parkway path that she was taking back to the townhouse she now owned with her other two companions. Seoul was a bustling little city with the potential to become a globalized centre of activity. She didn't doubt that it would reach that status with time. As she walked, her keener-than-normal vision caught sight of what appeared to be a young woman. She seemed to be huddled under a thick layer of jackets, seated modestly on a park bench.
By the time she reached a close enough distance to actually be seen in return by the young woman, Amy had been watching with a vague curiosity for a few minutes. She was a pretty little thing, petite and had a small face that was enviable (or at least that is what she'd heard plenty of Korean women gossiping about in and around the town). "Aren't you cold? If you are waiting on a boy, I suggest you tell him to meet you elsewhere."
