"i appreciate you coming out with me, even if it's just to listen to me compare composts." roman teased, turning to laila with a grin. he was happy to see her again - they'd been on a few dates but between their schedules (especially his), it was difficult to see one another. they were at the garden centre so roman could compare composts, buy a few bags today, and order the rest in bulk later.
"i'll have to thank you for your patience... with ice cream? is it warm enough for ice cream?" roman made a face. he only liked ice cream when the weather was hot. his nieces liked it all year round, but maybe they would grow out of that. "maybe coffee and cake instead? it's up to you."
