Drew this two years ago and I still really like the design concept (and the drawing is still nice enough too, but maybe I should draw it again). Imagine coming across what looks like a small water stream or river and then suddenly it ends and slithers away ^^ and there could be some really old, big ones that look like big rivers... until the tails pass by. There could be ones living around the sea and ones living near lakes and other freshwater bodies with different plants in them from their respective environments.
