Day 38: What is the most romantic thing they have done for you, and what’s the most romantic thing you’ve done for them?
Lauren -- It would definitely have to be the birthday parties. We both had the plan to throw some type of party for one another, and doing so on Second Life was the best choice. A friend of mine has a radio show every Monday night, so I had planned to just show up on my birthday, listen to some tunes, then go to class the next morning.
When I arrived on the dance floor of the sim we were in, there was decoration and cake props placed around the sim. I had NOT expected this, plus they had all chipped in to get me a new avatar! I am a sucker for surprises, and finding out that Thomas had planned it all was just mind-blowing for me. We had a great time, we danced, and all-around had fun.
As for what I’ve done for him, it was his birthday party. Same scenario, same place on Second Life, everything. I planned the whole shebang, but my friend was once again DJing that night, so it was all worth it. I even decorated the si with dragon stuff! He loves dragons, so I figured it was the best thing to do.
I’m damn sure I made his night the best he’s ever had, especially since it was his birthday. I’m just glad I can plan something so huge like that and have my mate actually be thankful for it. My other exes didn’t give a flying fuck, so I was afraid it would end the same way.
But it didn’t, and I’m SO glad he loved it. Celebrating the day of his birth is the best excuse to spoil him rotten. And I plan to do that every day of his life. <333
Thomas -- I’d personally like to think that the most romantic thing we have done for each other was give each other an amazing birthday ever since we’ve not only known each other, but ever since we’ve been together as well. The thing about us is that we usually don’t have great birthdays, and I don’t think our exes ever gave us any memorable birthdays either. Hearing about her birthday coming soon last year, and hearing how she had not had the best of birthdays, I wanted to change that. Luck would have it that a couple of people she knows wanted to surprise her as well, and asked if I had any ideas in mind, so I jumped at that chance and wanted to give her a memorable birthday, and a good one, not to mention a break from all that she had been going through back then. Needless to say, I was able to do that, and I hope to be able to make her next birthday much more than last year’s was. I know she made mine something to never forget. I had never had a party thrown for me in years , and even though it’s a long distance thing, the feeling are there, and were definitely expressed in the amazing party she had worked on just like how I had planned hers. I think it’s coming to tradition that we both tend to blow each other away with gifts, and I can’t wait to do that again later this year as well, because, as I said to her before, I think her birth is something worth celebrating, because she’s worth every minute :) <3
