Bianca ( @lampurple & @lampurpleart) is an artist who especially enjoys creating angsty canonverse...and NSFW 😏. She’s been in the fandom since 2013, and you can tell from her gorgeous answer regarding why she ships Ereri that she’s got such a love and understanding for the characters. Read on for some fabulous art recs and advice for other creators.

How long have you been in the fandom for?
Since mid-2013
Why did you start shipping Ereri?
In part because of aesthetic, part because the build up of trust between them as well as humanizing each other- Eren going from his idealistic hero worship to someone who sees Levi's flaws and oddities but still accepts that weirdness, sees his strengths and their familiarities, taking comfort in Levi's advice while not at all losing himself and his nature in the process, even willing to see Levi as an equal rather than just a subordinate when time calls for it. Although Levi sees potential in Eren when they first meet, there is a reduction in view when seeing him as a danger and something the public should fear, something he should tame, until realizing the humanity within Eren, which turns out to be an unfortunate boy carrying the weight of the world on him, yet accepts and nurtures his naturally monstrous demeanor that neither he nor the world can contain; he offers Eren free will but is sympathetic of his necessary role. I want to say they get closer due to Levi losing many of those around him and finding his squad as a second family, with Eren being the one who knows him the most. I think forgiveness and growth of trust in the years they are around each other is definitely possible if not inevitable. Also they make a badass duo in battle! And the content is diverse and amazing to look at/read.
Wow that's a lot! It went from why I started to how it developed to what it is today. I simply started loving their potential relationship since Eren joining his first squad and was not disappointed with what it eventually turned into!
Thematically speaking, what kind of content do you most enjoy making?
I'm a sucker for angst, especially canonverse (though I rarely make it because TIME, but I should change that). Also NSFW content is hella fun!
What is the work you're proudest of and why?
Oyyy the vertical rainbow one that combined all the prompts for an Ereri Week is one of the most popular and sums up a lot of what I love in the relationship. It's more symbolic if anything.
Most loved might be the banner I made for the Ereri Secret Santa Event since it's my most recent and incorporates the feeling of love and closeness I want to express between them in the relationship.
Smut-wise, it's the Ererivamika one lol because OT3 All are on my art blog
What inspires you to create?
Other creators push me to want to create so I may advance in skill and technique, while also indulging in reasons why I love the pairing. Also some canon happenings make me want to illustrate the reactions they do have. Lately songs have also been an inspiration for creating things overall!
Is there any work you'd like to share that inspires you?
There are wayyyy too many to count!! Roredwarrior3 is about the style I want to accomplish honestly. Smutwise, Dinklebert, and Rasu (Pixiv) kisses and lusty eyes. Literally anything by Nadine (dreamxxdream), particularly their older!Eren- another type of style I want to incorporate. Well--i--dont--know's dramatic lighting. Hana-tox (unfortunately no longer an Ereri) has gorgeous color and backgrounds! God, also 0ratio and Lena and yure-ru and bev-nap. Constant-catastrophe, obnexious, sulkingmoon, noenoh, roxoah, etc. A lot of fanscreaming with my friends.

What projects are you currently working on?
For now, just an unrelated commission, but I have ideas for a simple Eren piece. I kinda want to join the mermaid AU bandwagon for design practice. But I'd love to eventually make a short angsty-smut wordless comic with current canon Eren and Levi. Possibly something for V-day event but who knows, whatever I get fuel for first.
What are your strengths as a writer/artist?
I guess I do color alright...? Animals are ok (shout out to Canine AU)
What is an area in your work which you're trying to improve on?
Lineart, anatomy, dramatic shading, composition, backgrounds, overall concept...wow a lot!
What advice do you have for other creators?
Keep creating! The only way to improve is to keep doing it. Even if it's one sketch or paragraph a day. Expand beyond the familiar once, especially your weak points. Don't pay mind to negative comments that are solely meant to discourage you- consider *constructive* criticism. And remember, there will always be bad days, and times you may want to give up; just look back at the steps it took for you to improve, follow those steps toward your future work, and remember why you create in the first place.

I have an old fart miniature schnauzer named Rizito!
How do you relax?
Scribble aimlessly, sleep, or watch Youtube videos/anime.
Tell us about your dream day?
Having no work! Having time to finish art and...actually finish it! Ability to socialize with close friends if I have the energy, otherwise have a cozy night with my significant other watching a movie and eating a cooked meal and/or tasty snacks or takeout. Food in general lol
What music are you into?
Symphonic metal (esp Nightwish and Within Temptation), soundtracks (SnK and Pokemon lol), alternative (Coldplay-esque songs), lyricless electronic energy music (like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW3CpOBnU7Q) and vaporwave
What are some of your favorite tv shows?
Besides SnK, I'm into a variety of shounen/seinan anime like Berserk, Tokyo Ghoul, Boku no Hero Academia, Fullmetal Alchemist, Wolf's Rain, etc. I guilty pleasure watch Degrassi and not-so-guilty watch Stranger Things. Also reality gameshows like Big Brother UK and Survivor. But I mostly watch Youtube rather than tv.
What are some of your favorite films?
Marvel films, actually liked the adaptations for Harry Potter and the Hunger Games, anything Pixar (esp Toy Story, Inside Out, and Coco), Zootopia, Your Name, Prince of Egypt, How to Train Your Dragon, Lion King, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Titanic, The Help, Mean Girls, Madmax, and lots of mystery murder documentaries, and a large number of thrillers.
What are some of your favorite books?
I'm lame and don't really read books. I think I mostly liked the Hunger Games.
