lucy was sure that she hadn’t seen anything more beautiful than fiji at sunset. she had been to many, many places in her days but never quite somewhere like this. she had climbed up a little peak and sat herself down at the very edge, arms wrapped around her knees, bottle of tequila in hand. it was silent, apart from the bugs and various animals calling, but she didn’t mind. she was exhausted from work, but this sight made it all worth it. the sound of footsteps approaching behind her briefly distracted her from the view, but she didn’t move. “pretty, isn’t it?” she asked, taking another swig from her bottle. “i don’t think i’ve ever seen something like it.”
