#lance dying

do you guys ever think about how lance died and it was never addressed? that could’ve been such an interesting plot point with lance feeling different afterwards.

teen wolf had their protagonists die and come back and on the show they described having a darkness around their hearts, like a scar.

imagine that with lance, how not only does no one care he died but now he has this black hole in his chest and head that swallows him from the inside and the team has to acknowledge his sacrifice in order to help him get better.

would’ve been such a heartfelt plot point, if only they didn’t hate lance.

Hi! Here I am again(sorry, I just can't calm down yet). So imagine that voltron meets Lance's family and of course they are asking how their boy was doing out there in space. And Allura is like "he is a hero, he saved both Coran's and mine lives" and the team is like "???". And then she finally tells that oh, by the way, he actually sacrificed himself because I was in danger and he kinda died for a minute or so. Didn't you know?.. Tears. Cries. Hugs. Everyone loves Lance. How do you like that?

But this could still happen in season 8 bc like ,,, no one had addressed him dying yet ??? I hope Season 8 has a lot of talking and communication so they can address what this poor boy has been through. Oof

i really don’t get the “lance will die” theories. like i know people are saying “this is netflix! anything could happen! there aren’t as many restrictions!”. yes that’s true, but listen to this...

voltron is a show where the primary focus is to sell toys.

lance is the fan-favorite character.

lance sells.

they are not going to kill off a character that sells. it just makes sense. what happens if lance dies ? some kids will lose their favorite character. what happens when there is no longer your favorite character there? you stop watching the show and stop buying toys for the show.

what i’m trying to say is...

killing lance is bad for voltron marketing
