mike for sure 😭 i feel like will is so careful with what he says and how he acts, and meanwhile mike is like “we should be best friends aha totes platonic we’re a team” *gay af smile*

also that moment with the [tender, emotional music playing] where will looks at mike— you CANNOT tell me that mike isnt gay panicking there

I'm really rooting for Will confessing to Mike his feelings, being very clear he just needs him to know and Mike blindsiding him telling him he feels the same or something (a kiss).

this is the dream!! here's a totally random prediction mostly based on my personal hopes and dreams for vol2: i don't think will would outright tell mike how he feels, but i feel like when he gives mike the painting it'll be a sort of subtle confession. then the ball would be in mike's court, and i feel like mike might not know what to do, but then something happens like will getting vecna'd and he gets "kicked into gear" and then BAM, eventual confession (or kiss...) by the end of vol2.. also yes i need it to be totally unexpected, i'm a big advocate for "will is rambling and mike cuts him off with a kiss"

hmm… on the surface, definitely mike. i think mike has always been more physically affectionate and more talkative than will in general. i could see the party hanging out and mike goes over to will and puts an arm around him and says (in his slightly-softer-than-normal voice reserved for will) ”Hey, hows it going?” just to strike up conversation with him ❤️

however i can also see will being clingy in more subtle ways, like tapping mike or saying his name to get his attention, or standing as close as possible to him,,

they just both love each other a lot and want to spend time together 🥺

at this point would you rather mike or will get vecna'd? personally i'd like to see inside mike's head lol

I AGREE!! i think it would be great for either of them to get vecna'd (tho I think Will would be more of a target because of his trauma) but GOD i need to see what mike is struggling with. i need vecna to make him confront the things he's been pushing away. i also need the general audience to Understand... yk? mike wheeler is so misunderstood 😔

so, the red carpet premiere thing was today! in byler news:

gaten mentioned mike's storyline of visiting cali and he mentioned will before el (though i'm not gonna overthink this one too much)

finn got asked about m!leven and he basically said that m!leven were "figuring themselves out, whether that's together or separate" (this one is giving me so much hope ngl-)

(full disclosure i originally read this ask as “scene” instead of ”scenario” and i dont feel like rewriting my response, so here is my byler scene wishlist)

i think it would have to be a love confession mid argument OR an unexpected kiss. like will is super pissed at mike for ignoring him and they argue about it and mike blurts out “Because I’m in love with you!” yes this is a scene from a fic i wrote

specifically though, i want their confession/kiss to be unresolved until after the final battle. like they confess/kiss but before they have time to talk about it shit starts going down and they get split up… like the ANGST 🤌

one last byler hopium wish: mikes monologue as a love confession to will. i know its likely something else, and i dont even mind it, but god i would love it so so much… it would be my favorite scene ever i think

Byler makes me want to jump with glee, fr. They're so soft, the way Mike used his Will voice and everything, it's just so amazing and sweet. They're hiding their feelings, like date alr, I'm waiting💁

THE WILL VOICE 🥺 mike being soft for will might be my favorite thing Ever actually... and i love season 2 because we see that at its Peak. i'm a sucker for ships where Person A is only soft with Person B, aha.

byler is the one ship that i've been obsessed with to the point of writing This Much fic (aha you should check out my fics *wink*)... i just love their scenes, their dynamic, the subtext, canon, fanon, the fluff and angst... i really hope we get to see them as a couple, i think that would be the best thing ever. and it really seems like they could be canon and i'm just AAAAAAA don't fail us now duffers)

omg i love this concept!! by then i think byler would be an established couple (in my dreams at least). they wouldn't be able to act too coupley at prom, but i think the party would have a fun time and byler could have some cute moments <3 but my personal headcanon is that partway through they ditch prom and end up leaving together to hang out. i actually started writing a fic where they leave prom and end up going to castle byers (i think- it's been a while since i looked at that draft LOL- also in that fic they weren't together and were instead peak mutual pining BUT ANYWAY-) i just picture them talking and reminiscing and being soft in the moonlight... i really like byler in the moonlight.....
