Graceās Bar of the Week!
Good Afternoon Bloggers! This week I have been immensely busy; more so than my normal busy. But on the bright side, it keeps me from rummaging through the fridge! The downside is that Iām posting this review later than I planned #tearsforfridge
But time is precious so..
To all my Facebook friends: As you can tell by display picture, I am involved withĀ Squeaky Clean ComedyĀ this year (I was involved last year, but more so this year).Ā Squeaky Clean ComedyĀ is a part of theĀ Melbourne International Comedy Festival; however, it is more on the "clean" side of things, so it's perfect for a family outing, or for that date youāve been wanting to take to a comedy show but without that awful awkward experience thanks to dirty jokes, BUT hey, no awkward experiences at Squeaky! So youāre safe to take that date!
Squeaky runs for 3 Saturdays starting from tonight! Woohoo for opening nights!
NOW FOR THAT BAR REVIEW!
Iāve tailored this weekās bar review to Squeaky Clean because they are particularly neighbours in Melbourne CBD. (Two birds with one stone, hey?) Ā Now for my joke⦠Knock Knock.. Whoās there? Sister. Sister who? SISTER BELLA
Sister Bella is known as a Pirate Bar among their visitors. However, pirate bar wasnāt the first thought that came to mind when I found this gem, (it was more like ādawww, this a really cool / quirky havenā.) But the pirate theme definitely fits the bill, with Sailor Jerry bottles used as water bottles and skateboards hanging from the roof, and the grungy but cosy vibe strikes a warmth within the venue. It is great for catch-ups with mates, as well as a great place to go after witnessing a show! Itās a two level bar; however, the second floor is where itās at, and is definitely my favourite! Youāll see why, but just be careful walking up those steps. Iāve witnessed JENGA games in the bar. Iāve experienced the sangria. Iāve tasted their cheap food and drinks with treasurable memories of their flavour. Iāve bopped along to their RAD music playlist which is just awesome, (Ahh if only they had a dance floor). Itās not too busy most of the time; however, the ābusyā does come in doses, depending on when you go there. So donāt be surprise if itās just you and five others at the bar. Thatās part of the charm. Now finding the place... Itās tucked away down two lane-ways, just like the rest of the places I recommend; however, itās less than 5 mins away from the Squeaky Clean venue. *Hint, Hint*. Now you know where to find me before or after shows. So if you decide to attend the Melbourne International Comedy Festival this year or book tickets to Squeaky Clean *Hint, Hint* hereās the link squeakycleancomedy.com.auĀ .Ā BUT, definitely pop by to Sister Bellaās and experience the warmth as these cold days approach. Now if that wasnāt a hook^ this one will beā¦. Sister Bella just released this new cocktail.. Funny Bunny // Vodka, Liqueur 43, Creme de Cacao, Nutella, Cream, finished off with a Peanut Butter Tim Tam.
