Ok prompt: Lions can turn into Earth cats and Lance wants to play with them and nothing will stop him even though he's deadly allergic to cats so it's basically the team carrying him away from them because everyone cares and loves him even when he's doing bullshit like this
I changed it slightly, sorry!
“THE LIONS CAN DO WHAT?!?!?!” Lance slammed his hands down on the table, standing up from his chair, ignoring the side glanced he recieved from some members on the team.
“Lance, inside voice please and yes the lions can turn into non robotic creatures.” Allura crossed her arms from her seat at the table and leaned back into her chair.
“Whoa, what do they look like?!” Pidge leaned forward slightly, sending Lance a smile before returning her attention towards the princess.
“It’s hard to say, they can take many shapes, they usually base it off an animal from their paladins planet, the do it to make them feel more at home.” Allura glance at Pidge, sending the younger girl a warm smile.
“Well, lets go check it out! How does it work?!” Hunk questioned excitedly as Coran began to explain how the lions can change and how strong the bond between the lion and the paladin must have for it to work.
“Well what are we waiting for? Let’s go try it!” Lance pushed himself away from the table and began his quick journey to his lion. “COME ON SLOW POKES!”
Lance sat in front of his lion, his legs crossed underneath him. “Alright Blue, you and I have the strongest bond on the team, lets just do this.” He closed his eyes and opened his mind to his lion, letting her see the various animals he had every encounter in his life on Earth. His mind fluttered between multiple typed of animals, to sharks, to cheetahs, to koalas, to dogs and soon a gust of wind blew over Lance and he peeled his eyes opened. He cocked his head to the side, his blue eyes gazing at the animal in front of him, “kitty?”
A small meow filled the hanger and tiny footsteps filled the room as Blue walked towards he paladin, not noticing how Lance slightly moved away from her. She was a dark blue, nearly black and her ears were small and she was fluffier than most cats Lance had ever seen.
Blue nudge her head against Lance’s knee, purring for any form of affection and Lance swallowed around the lump in his throat. He knew he shouldn’t, he knew he should just leave Blue alone but he soon found himself stroking the soft fur. Ah screw it.
Lance wasn’t sure how long he sat on the floor petting Blue, ignoring how his head became stuffy or how his nose itched or how his eyes watered the longer he stroked his lion. He pushed through it, he could still breath, barley, but nothing was going to stop him from petting Blue. It was the first thing he had seen since the space mall that resembled something from Earth. That reminded him of home.
“Lance! You’ve been in here forever!” Hunk jogged into the room, a yellow lab running right after him. “Look Yellow turned into a dog, isn’t he pretty?” Hunk kneeled down and rubbed the dogs ears, glancing at his friend. “What did Blue turn into?” He attempted to look around Lance.
“A cat,” Lance’s voice sounded squeezed and Hunk nearly screamed in fear.
“LANCE! YOU’RE ALLERGIC! GET AWAY FROM HER!” He reached for Lance’s collar and started to pull his friend away from the feline, ignoring the hiss that Blue gave him.
“Let me go Hunk, it’s something from Earth!” Lance attempted to kick his friend away, stopping when he realized the lack of damage it was doing.
Hunk pulled Lance out of the hanger, telling Yellow to keep Blue away from Lance for a little bit and slumped the boy in the hall. “Lance I know you miss Earth, but you don’t need to die for a cat. Ask Blue to turn into something else.”
“But she did that for me, I don’t care if I can’t have it, I just want to be home again.” Lance wiped his eyes and Hunk pulled him off the ground.
“Come on man, let’s go wash your hands before you scratch your eyes out.” He dragged his friend down the hallway, ignoring the concerned looked he received from their teammates as he pulled Lance into a restroom. Lance didn’t complain as Hunk washed him up, simply sniffling occasionally.
“You okay bud?” Hunk questioned as he grabbed a towel for his friend.
Lance bobbed his head slightly, “I just wanna go home.”
Hunk pulled him closer and held him tight as Lance wetted his shoulder, “I do too.”
I hope you liked it! Sorry I changed it slightly!
