If you were an animal, what animal do you think you would be?

“An animal?”  

Szayelaporro sets down his papers, a single gloved finger traces his chin. And he ponders on this. He didn’t really understand the premise of the question. He assumed it was curiosity for curiosity’s sake. 

“ Turritopsis dohrnii.”  He taps the brim of his glasses. “Or, in layman’s terms, an immortal jellyfish. FASCINATING creatures, honestly.”

Cien and Fae first meeting. Fae is terrified but he offers one of the masks from his collection to Cien in a show of faith. How would Cien react?

OKAY THIS IS SO CUTE. gruesome, but adorable nonetheless.

cien isn’t exactly fazed by the gruesome displays, he shows a lack of concern even when faced with the most horrific sights, he would think that hell is a pretty fun place to be. rather, he is more fascinated with the concepts of hollow masks. they represent not only the heart that they once had, but present a look into their old identity as humans. 

what i mean to say by all of this is that he would deeply cherish the gift that fae gave him. not only because it is a show of good faith, but also because of what it once represented to this long fallen hollow. a fragment of their heart, a book without words. 

he would thank fae, with a genuine, heartfelt smile on his lips. he would lament that he has nothing of value to return to him as a gift, there are very little things as precious as what he gave him....
