Somewhere near me has a kind of prehistoric experience tour where there are life sized models of all sorts of creatures, a few dinosaurs but mostly other things pretty much nobody has ever heard of in the name of education. The mammoth, their designated well known creature tourist bait, is outside though. Because it's far taller than the whole building. If it were just a matter of it not fitting in the first floor or something it wouldn't be so visually jarring, but it's a one storey building with a flat roof, so it's literally taller than the whole structure. Every time I see it it throws me. That the sign right next to it saying it's accurately sized is so Tiny just makes it funnier.

holy smokes anon i am absolutely the target audience of that tourist bait. i think i would just stand there and gawk. i would like to revise all childhood answers i ever gave to "what animal would you like to tame and ride" to be "giant woolly mammoth" because that's my new terrifying dream.
