Also if Jill did right by KO, four Stanny Trees would have been on the pitch today (KO, Press, Noyola and Garciamendez), as well as all three Stanford MAC Hermann recipients (KO, Press, and Noyola).
Little-known fact:
KO & Noyola are two of only three players in the history of women’s collegiate soccer to unite the Hermann Trophy and the NSCAA Scholar Athlete of the Year awards (2009 & 2011, respectively), joining Portland’s Christine Sinclair in 2004 & 2005.
