A Lappet Moth from the drier inland parts of Southern Australia, where it presumably feeds on she-oaks going by the common name.
Described in 1924 by Alfred Jefferis Turner. As well as being an entomologist, Turner's career as a paediatrician helped to reduce the number of children's deaths in Queensland by introducing diphtheria antitoxin, combatting hookworm-induced anaemia, reducing lead poisoning, improving children's milk supply, and providing health education and antenatal care for expectant and nursing mothers. He was also pivotal in ending the bubonic plague outbreak of 1900.
